Thread: Why ? Why cant I do decent damage in pvp?

Buddy its a great thread but i got a story for ya, ima master swordsman with a min damage power hammer of 175 min damage and 605 max damage speed 5.3, i dueled my tk fencer buddy I never did over 250 damage with HEAD HIT 3 and he was doing 250-300 at a rate much faster than than me btw we werent wearing helmets. This is ridiculous and im quitting swordsman if they dont fix this, its my beleif that the armor peircing doesnt even work in pvp. Someone explain and clarify what might be wrong with this picture?

If you weren't wearing helmets, the AP2 of the PH doesn't factor in at all. There has to be an armor rating on targets for the AP to actually boost the damage by x1.25.
As for everything else, are you sure your friend wasn't steaked? The 75% PvP damage reduction and melee mit 3 also effectively neuters PvP damage as well. The reason he was doing more damage than you is all Fencers are capped with their weaponry at master, and I'm betting you aren't.

your powerhammer sucks, get one with min higher min damage. that is too much of a difference 100-600

I agree with this guy. Get an acklay hammer with a min over 300 and watch the numbers fly. Get speed capped with that hammer and I'm sure you will be pleased.

/agree high mindamage is very important in pvp due to mitigation

U will need some very good bones to craft a hammer with that min. damage...and for killing fencers i prefer a scythe for the better accuracy mods...eating a citrus snowcake and intimidate the fencer so u have no probs to hit em...even if they running cob...

i agree w/naruk about using a scythe. i have one w/454 max dam and when i was a master swords, not long ago, i loved it w/a min dam pup, it did awesome damage. i would suggest gettin FS melee accuracy and speed skills if you have the skill points, which a triple melee stacker (was me)will have4 pts left over. and naruk dont thank the devs about wook armor, thank my server bria, for all the people who took part in the protest that shut down the server for wook armor. just had to note that.

I'm not saying it would be cheap to make that..........But with fs accuracy and speed and sone snowcake you can hit fencers with an acklay hammer just fine. And you will do way more damage then a scythe.

No guys He was using the tka head hit 3 and just used canape not synthasteak

My scythe(270min dmg unpuped/313 with pup) drains melee-minds so fast...i love this scytheso much...

TK doesn'thave head hit 3, just the basic one. Maybe he was using unarmed 3, but that does random damage. There is more to PvP than spamming the same special over and over. Try COB and some other skills and then try again, you'll take him easy.
