Thread: Master Brawler with Master Sword- How necessary is it?
Excellent! Just what I wanted to hear actually. Having been throught the MSword/MBrawler then dropping MBrawler only to realize I REALLY missed the extra speed/intimidate2/lunge2, I don't want to go through that rigamarole again... back to a "damage dealing specialist" it is!

Agree. Post-CU Master Brawler is not needed. I dropped it and got Doc 4-0-0-0 instead. It was good Pre-CU for all the lunges, intimidate 2, and Warcry 2, but all that stuff is gone.

The way people pay millions for skill tapes that are just +5 in these areas makes me think that getting this many all in one spot would be worth it. Anyway, just curious why all those skill mods don't seem worth Master Brawler when skill mod tapes are such prized posessions.

You can get all those mods from clothes attachments without losing Skill Points. Also with my new templet Doctor gives you a lot more Defense + Infusion. I don't miss Master Brawler at all.
Most of All do what ever makes you happy.

yeah, this is more what i was thinking. these skills are so desired as tapes, why not get these big bonuses and then be able to stack even more in tapes.
of course it is all in personal play style and what you want out of your character, but it seems like all those skill mods at master brawler are nice.

honestly, the speed + accuracy was nice - it will definitely raise your DPS (i noticed a 75 point raise in dps on my hammer with master brawler and max speed powerups)....
while nice, it uses up action that much faster! ![]()
the defensive mods absolutely do not matter once you turn cob on. you can have +150 defense or +400 defense - once you hit cob, you're capped.
my old template was TKM/mSword/mBrawler/Pike x133ish - i found that respec'ing to TKM/mfencer/mSword gave me more useful specials for pvp (Cripple/blind/bind/advanced lunge are very nice for pvp!). warcry/intimidate/stun from pikemanare very useful as well (will cut down a bit of damage, even while cob'd).
so anyways, i having more USEFUL specials negates the loss of a bit of speed/accuracy, imo.

It is Doctor 4-0-0-0, NOT Medic 4-0-0-0.
Doctor Infusion really helps. You are right that medic is not much, but move up to Doctor and infusion is very powerful. I am able to solo SOMEthings again.
SOME = NS Spell Weavers, NS Stalkers, NS Sentinels, and Juvi Krypts.

Hmmmmmmmmm. I have not tried it much in PvP, but in PvE Doctor Infusion rocks. I will have to try it in PvP and see how it goes. One thing I know for sure is the Jedi version of Infusion helps in PvP, because I see a lot of Bounty Hunters complaining about it. I think the Jedi version and the Doctor version are the same.
I will test PvP and let you know. ![]()
