Thread: Post CU cry for help!!

I'm not gonna start complaining, I just need pointing in the right direction to get back on track.
Pre-CU, I was happily gaining XP towards Jedi as Master Swords, now I'm having trouble getting XP at all, I know I'm missing something...
I've spent ages reading through the forums trying to find what I need, but basically I need to be told in plain English:
- Best attacks to use
- Armor to acquire
- Spec of weap to look for
- Areas to hunt
- Food/Buffs to get
I know I sound like a complete n00b, but I've hardly played over the last few weeks, partly because I can't figure it out, partly because I've had exams IRL...
Can anyone help or link me to a guide?

The big thing, which you didn't mention: if you don't group, you can't do much.

Bro, you get in a good group, and the xp just flows in like crazy. I mean like absolutely like a flood. I Mastered TK in roughly 3 xp buff sessions, wich aslo includes the 1mil xp for the master box, and I also made it half way up Pikeman, and capped combat xp, unarmed xp, and two handed xp and pike xp several times. Get in a good group, and your set. BTW do Bol missions lvl 80-82 with your group. Hope this helps.

^^^^^^ let me clarify that.....lol. I mastered MTK in 3 buff sessions, the rest was just to show you how fast the xp rolls in with good groups. Best place to hunt IMHO is Aggro Outpost on Dantooine, doing North missions.

Ok man this is what works for me. Melee hit as auto attack, macro for head hit every 7 seconds, keep CoB up. My hammer is 301dps and you can get one close to that for 20k (at least you can on bloodfin). I solo bolls on dantooine, they hardly ever agro and with CoB I take hardly any damage. I am TKM so I don't use armor but a good set of bone armor should work for you. It's also nice to have Doc to at least 2xxx. Hope this helps you.

And another thing don't go hunting Bols on Dant. Yeah the xp is ok but Gurks on Lok with a Inspiration buff gives you over 7k per kill. I used to hunt Dant all day long pre-cu but post-cu the place is now Lok.

Sorry, just a couple more things. Get yourself a COB macro (http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=teras_kasi_artist&message.id=101361)and use armor break and critical hit as well as head hit. If you have ROTW got get yourself some clone trooper armor. If you're TKM you don't need any armor you already got one of the best that won't ever decay. Also go shop for a good PH (powerhammer), no not on the bazaar term, go to a weaponsmith and get one with 300 dps or more and make sure you get yourself some pups (powerups).

Great info again, many thanks!! I'm determing to make this CU work because I think its a great idea, can get down to playing again now the exams are over
