But a Pikeman can learn the Critical Hit line of swords and do mucho damage too. In fact a fencer with one of the quested ROTW weapons could use swordsman attacks and do more damage than any swordsman as those fencer weapons are AWESOME. (Junta mace and the alphabet soup sword)

Both improved impale from pikes and all the swordsmans best damage attacks have a 3.6x dam multiplier on them (maybe 3.5 but defo the same) So there is no difference. The only difference is in the weapons. Average swords have around 150 more max than average pikes but average pikes are .5 or so faster.

No real difference the question is would you rather attack faster or hit harder ? and would you prefere area attacks, intimidate and stunning blow or 3 identical power moves ?

Actually, I think Master Fencer would be the best, they have some really nice ROTW weapons that are easy to get. Use the specials from Swords with your fencer weapon (0044 in swords but Master Fencer)

Best of both worlds...

My template is MSwords, MPike and MBrawler & TK thrown in. Giving a Swordsman the Pikeman attacks is priceless, of course sincewe're talking melee here. Ranged is a different story.

But the fact is that best hammers currently outdamage the best pikes. Done.

While there are enough weapons of similar damage around for both, I chose swordsman over pikeman.
The main factors were the 2handed accuracy bonus of +110 (pikemen get +65), advanced armor break and the 3 high-damage attacks. Even though I miss the intimidate and stun attacks
