Thread: skill tape drops?

Heh, I've been casually playing since about August myself, cancelled in October(ish) and hopped back on around Christmas (after the vehicles came in full swing).

(walking around sucks)As a casual player I hadn't seen a skill tape until went around dungeon crawling. (Surely you've been in the pygmy torton caves on Rori). I've gottenseveral okay tapes there +1-5 is okay in my opinion. Funny, I heard those NS's drop the uber loot....
Anywho, I also heard that the jawas drop force crystals. Now this one I refused to believe, I like Jawas (5000 faction). So instead I went off to the Tuskan fort on Tatt (I hear they've been beefed up substantially since I was there last... maybe 3 weeks ago). At any rate, I am the proud owner of a shiny dual force crystal. My suggestion would be any of those two places?

lol I didn't really like the idea of killing Jawa's then one day I killed one just for the hell of it an WOW a single force crystal now I spare them no mercy and for skill tapes go to POI's caves that is the only place to go looking for then and there are caves on almost every planet. happy hunting

no actually i hadnt been to the torton cave, but i do enjoy killing ginourmous turtles
prolly hit there tonite, maybe some other caves too, not sure about killing jawas though, i look at them and they die, unless somewhere there is a gigantic 100k ham Force Queen Jawa or something

Try the tusken fort on tat, they tend to drop fairly decent ones.

heya, i recently made master swordsman (to go with master doctor) and love it.
after 16 profs grinded and no jedi i am giving up, more time for my studies
now i enjoy casually killing crazy mobs for loot
however, i have been killing nightsisters for days and have had nothing but leather, clamps, and crappy lances for loot
ive been playing this game since day 1, literally, and i have never once looted a skill tape or armour attachment
my question is which mobs drop them (higher level mobs if any, not meatlumps ), doesnt seem like the NS's do lol
), doesnt seem like the NS's do lolim just wanting to find some different loot that is usefull

Seems that ns dont drop much unless its a protector or elder since they are hard to kill solo they seem to have a higher drop rate than the others

looted a tape for unarmed speed +14 from a NS protector last week. I can't imagine how low the drop rate is tho, considering how many I've killed before and got nothing this good

Back when there was the tusken village near Wayfar, the tusken king would nearly always pop out something good. I got a few 3 stat +15's from him, sold em though. Also try the borgle bat caves on rori, one chest gave me 2 tapes (they were low though).
