Thread: 3 posture changes and a dizzy?

hey i just hit master last night, only took 1 day lol (geo lab) and im keeping it


just something that troubles me that i never thought about too deeply, is it just me or do we have 3 posture attacks


lung

area attack

sweep


why is this, isnt it kind of useless to have 3 when all we need is one (especially since all 3 of them dont work on higher mods like sisters)

why is this that we have them, and which one is the best to use and why


Also, i noticed we dont have a dizzy attack, but my 2-H hit 3 at master is doing dizzy, ive tested it multiple times, and its not supposed to, why is this, not that i dont like it or anything

As far as I've heard...it IS supposed to dizzy, the info in the box is just a typo...

And I'm pretty sure each attack with posture down can only do the check once every 30 seconds or something. I remember reading something about that in another post, but I could have misunderstood.

Along the same lines, has anyone else had trouble with the dizzy posture down on NPC targets? I was using area hit 3 on a storm trooper and it dizzied him, and lowered his posture, but when he stood up he didn't fall over... tried it several times on several targets, never seemed to phase them. Is this something new they added to prevent us from knocking down a target or is it just a bug?

Dunno about NPCs but it works on player Jedis. hehe! Caught me totally by surprise. We we're dueling and went for a lunge1 followed with a 2hHit3 and BAM! he was out cold on the ground. I had no clueMHS had a dizzy until that point. Very cool indeed!

The dizzy plus posturechange is not a guaranteed (sp?) knockdown. Dizzy state only givesa chance that the target will fall over when going through a voluntary (not forced) posture change.


For example, you apply a dizzy state to a standing target then force a posture down to kneeling (this can be accomplished with Area attack 3 or 2H hit 3plus any posture down attack). The target has a dizzy state and is kneeling. When the target tries to stand(a voluntary posture change), the system checks some database to see if the target falls over.


It does work on humanoid NPCs, but not as often as it works on players. I do not know the exact numbers, but I would have to say it works on NPCs about 20% of the time and players about 33% of the time. That is just a best guess from what I have seen. I will do some testing this weekend to see if I can get a better percentage for everyone. Hope this clears things up a bit.

Not so sure i agree that the posture change (down) is on a 30 second timer... If it is supposed to be, that's another story, but i noticed yesterday while taking a rebel base and completely surrounded by NPCs, that spamming area attack would force about 3 or 4 of them to take a knee. I'd watch them stand up after that only to have another 2hareahit3 go off and force them to kneeling again.

Mind you, they didn't stand and fall over due to the dizzy effect, they stood, another AE hit went off, and they knelt again.

I chalked it up to odd as i was more worried about getting our team into the base and positioned rather than testing out this anomaly.

Dizzys stack so the more you hit them with the dizzy special the better chance they fall over and flop around. In addition there are strong and weak dizzys.(FKD,carbineer stuffis a weak, confusion and spray are strong)

Like I said, I could have just misunderstood or read it wrong or something, just tought I had heard somethinga bout a timer on the posture down.

there is a timer. 30sec btwn posture downs and a seperate 30secKDs

Anyone else notice 2handhit3 is also adding a bleed? I was using that attack the other night and was not only doing dizzy but also did a bleed. And Im sure I didnt hit mindhit.

I believe I have noticed this as well. I might be wrong but I'm pretty sure I've seen some of my targets bleeding without doing mind shots.

Yeah, Spinattack2 also does a bleed. Its just a -1 tick and seems to be random
