Hello
I am currently a Master CH, Master Swordsman and BE 1,0,3,0.
I am looking to drop BE and take up either some TKA or Fencer, what would you recomend to be a better template:
1) Master CH, Master Swordsman and TKA 4,0,4,0
or
2) Master CH, Master Swordsman and Fencer 4,0,4,0
Or any other templates you could suggest. I want to keep Master CH, Master Swordsman and have 52 skill points to use up.
Cheers

I would say TKA 4-0-0-4 rather than 4-0-4-0 for the simple reason that the Precision Striking line of TK gives a Swordsperson template far better defence which is more useful than just having a few fancy unarmed attacks to play with imo
Fencer obviously offers far more defence if you want to go that way, but I'd take meditate and precision striking over Fencer defences any day of the week

I have a question. Under the TKA branch x/x/x/4 it has something called Defense Acurity which adds up to 81, it's defenition is "This modifier improves your chances of reacting to a succesful hit with a dodge, counterattack or block." So would this mean that the 81 points of Defence acurity from TKMcould be added onto Counterattack defense under Swordsman?

and the total Counter attack for Master Swordsman is 110, what is the counterattack cap?

Defensive acuity is the TKA version of Counter/Block/Dodge afaik - TK doesn't have any of them primarily but it uses them all in defensive acuity - so potentially if ur master swordsman (Counter 110) and TKM, and use TK Skills - u have a much better chance of using counterattack to avoid damage - I'm not sure on this, not really tested the theory (I am TKM/Swordsgirl atm but use Swords almost exclusively
) I do know tho, that Defensive Acuity doesn't cross class - it only works if ur Unarmed/VK equipped.
And cap for all defensive mods is 125 to my knowledge - that includes melee/ranged defence, counter/block/dodge.

hmm, so it'd be better to do FNC because of all the defense benifits there for PvE

If you're going for pure defence then stances and grips line of Fencer is ideal to compliment any other Melee profession yeah, yummy Melee and Ranged defensive bonuses
but - most High end mobs totally ignore the prime melee/ranged defence and your only chance to avoid getting hit by them is by using counter/block/dodge
hmm... feel i've said that one far too many times today
