Thread: Help Advantage of Ubese Shirt/Bandy of Regular Shirt/Bandy?

I am wondering what is the advantage of Pre-Nerf Ubese items (Bandoleir and Shirt) over just a regular shirt/bando combo. I know they have no condition, but CA's still work when an items has 0/0 condition, correct? Does the Armor Rating actually help on these items, or what? Thank you!

I don't know about anyone else, but I'm worried that clothes with 0/0 will be tweaked by the devs eventually so they don't work. Looks like pre-nerf ubese/mabari will work forever. + they look good =P

unless the devs decide to retroactively nerf them in the combat balance, as they are going to be doing with weapons. One of the devs (in the in dev/live/concept/whatever forums) said the combat balance would be 'balancing' all existing weapons, so all the super uber stuff will be going the way of the dodo ... similar to how they're nerfing all the -1 charge pikes.
No reason for them not to suddenly give condition to these ubese shirts/belts/whatever, saying 'we didn't realize this happened' - ala the pikes.
personally, unless you have some very nice attachments I wouldn't worry about it too much.. regular clothes last a pretty long time, and I would have no problem putting +1 and +2's into them.. +5 and higher, I don't know.. I'm saving all mine till after the combat balance to see what happens.
