Coming from Marksman, Pitoleer, Rifleman, and Commando, I just started 2-handed the other day and I LOVE IT! Melee combat isso much more fun. Sure, it's easy to burn things, or Eyeshot them to death from 30 meters, but it is so much more exciting gettin right in the monster's face and rearrange its face with an axe or hammer.

I honestly feel that it depends on the type of critters you are hunting. I've done TK (TK/Doc before the craze) and after the devs gave the class some attention it was absolutely devistating-especially to NPC humanoids. I've hunted with a master fencer for quite some time, and they are nearly as potent as a TK in PvE (bugger was a pain to knock down in duels). But....

Neither of us (me as a TK) were able to solo efficiently what I can solo now as a master swordsperson. Juvi Kryats? No problem! Ancient bull rancor? No problem!

Now against smaller mobs? Yes the TK's and fencers defensive ablilities really come in to play and they shine! The big mobs... it's all about the strong offense as your defense.

Questions? Doubts? Come to intrepid, buy me a set of buffs, and I'll show you what the "way of the sword" is capable of.

Its a heck of lot more challenging and fun then shooting a pistol. It brought back new life into combat for me too.

I dream of having a personal buff whore. But untill then I rely on my little blue drinks and powerboost.Heart of the Sword doesn't include a manager pumping steroids into your veins 24/7... Well unless you PvP, thats a just a contest to see how long your **chicken** is. Never saw a point to it other than making the enemy buff whore cry with mind bleeds. But after I hit him with a 200 and 400 point mind bleed he just turns around and stopping shots me to death. But I get the satisfaction of watching him run around trying to get someone to heal his bleeding before he gets popped.
