Thread: A brief macro question
I cannot say how long they take to execute, but it is worth incorporating them into your attack. However, I would not put it in your attack macro, but setup a separate macro for them and add Center of Being to it.
I generally start by stacking two rifle bleeds to single pull a critter. So I bleed, wait for them to aggro on me and start running towards me. Once they get to about 25m, I fire off the macro:
/intimidate1;/warcry1;/centerofbeing
Note: I do not know if that is the actuall spelling since I am not in game at the moment. Also, if you have Master Brawler, substitute Intimidate2 and Warcry2 obviously.
I start with intimidate because it seems to have a longer range than warcry; thus, I can fire the macro a little sooner.
If you are not using ranged bleeds to start, you can still do this by firing it off as you run up to the creature, but it may be better to switch warcry and intimidate. That way, assuming warcry takes, you are executing intimidate while the creatureis already delayed. It is probably not that big of a deal either way.
Oh, and BTW, you could put the /follow command in the macro above.
However, doing this puts you in your best defensive posture and will allow you to get off 1 or 2 bleeds with the hammer or your weapon of choice before you start getting hit. It works well when everything takes.
I would not put these commands at the start of your attack macro because you can hit the macro above, verify that both warcry and intimidate took, if not, fire them off individually if you feel it is necessary, then go to your attack macro, determine if the bleeds took, and fire them off individually if they did not. In the end, however, it boils down to a matter of style. I just think separating them gives you more flexibility.
You get Center of Being (CoB) at novice brawler. But like berzerk, its not under your combat skill list, but under your Other's.
Thanks for the advice on the macro, I will do a bit of testing and take what you said into consideration.
i posted about mine a while back.
i called it herque's head smashing macro i think it goes
/melee2hMindhit1;
/melee2hMindhit2;
/warcry2;
/intimidate2;
/intimidate2;
i'd not put intimidate or warcry in a macro, simply because of their ham costs. Since neither one seem to stick really well on high level mobs, you may have to use one or both over and over to get them to land. If you have them both in the same macro then you'd be using a lot of ham on the one that had already landed. You could probably get away with it though if you had each attack hot-keyed elsewhere. that way if one didn't stick, you could simply use it again and not both.
Do, however, macro your bleeds. Most of the time you are gonna want to use both and this just saves time. It may however cause some of the problems that i mentioned above.
Another macro that i like to run when buffed is to loop a single attack such as 2handed hit 3, area attack3or 2handed head hit 3. if you're gonna spam it anyway, then you might as well only hit one button. I like to use this in groups. When my group mates start dropping, i start one of these puppies and watch the pretty combat spam.
"i usually KD my foe,warcry2,bleed,then kill!"
Would agree with this except a little different order for me...
Bleed pull if you can,
Melee Bleed
KD or Posture Change
Wait like 3-5 seconds.
WarCry.
I know that this would probably let the mob get a hit in, but I dont care about that at all. Its all about getting the bleeds on for me, getting that 1-2 extra ticks of mind bleeds while the mob is unable to attack.
also if you get master brawler then you will have a KD from 20m....you could try to incorporate that. i usually KD my foe,warcry2,bleed,then kill!
