Thread: This may seem like a silly question.... but here goes anyway.

How do swordsman fight someone when they are Kiteing them? When I am fighting NPC's I have hard enough time running after Stormtroopers while they Kite me. When I go to PvP I would imagine it would be worse. How do Melee classes counter this?

Ill start with a disclaimer here. Im not the PvP swordsman out there. BUt this is what I do for NPCs and kiting PCs. I like to choose my mark be it PvE, Duel or PvP. With that said I usually put them on follow and the intiate combat. I try to get Area Attack 3 in first. Dizzy is your friend.(When it works) When they start the kiting I clear the combat cue. Then switch to 2hand Lunge. Remember not to spam this. If you succeed doing this. Then the second lunge will stand them up.
If anyone has another tactic I love to hear it.

Lunge is good for extra range, and burst run is good in pvp for catching people, as they normally forget to burst run also. Also in pvp, you can sucker many people into coming around a corner, or into a building to get you.
