Thread: The scythe would be mine but for the rock. CURSE THE ROCK!!!

Smashing things over the head with a large hammer, while still ok is beginning to get a bit stale. I decide that maybe hitting things over the head with a big sword may rejuvinate my enjoyment of the profession (and also mean i can actually hit something in PvP)
There is, as you all know,only one big sword worth considering when it comes to hitting things over the head, the scythe. They are pretty rare on my server (and expensive too) but i find a ver nice damage sliced one. 250-400 ish with 2.6 speed.
Its out of my price range but after talking to the weaponsmith, I may be able to arrange a discount if i bring him another scythe schematic. Failing that, I may be able to got one of my guild smiths to make one and pray for a good slice. Either way I need the schematic.
So offI go, kill some things, deliver something and, yay, I have the data disk with the location. I know a krayt will spawn but I can live with that, 80% comp, some good doc buffs and intimidate and the krayt will be nothing more than an annoyance (granted, a 300k HAM, 30ft high annoyancebut only an annoyance none the less)
I dig up the box and the krayt spawns. The krayt is no more deadly than a crazed durni and so I have plenty of time to loot the box. Hmm, thats odd the box has half spawned in a rock, still plenty of time. Hmm thats even more odd, I cant loot the box because I cant see it (the games words not mine).
Ack armor hole, ack no stims. /burstrun /warcry /warcry /peace /peace /peace. phew aggro gone.
But still, even with no krayt i couldnt loot the damn box because it was half stuck in a rock.5/20 contents andI could only dream of what goodies I was missing out on. It despawned after a few minutes leaving my sythe hopes dashed and thwarted.
I could reset but whats the point, it will probably spawn in a tree.
CSR ticket submitted, awaiting reply still. Am taking bets and 10/1 that the responce will be "yada yada no proof, blah blah you must be telling lies, waffle waffle cant help"
CURSE THE ROCK!!!

Well, if you could sneak up on your box, and if you have novice scout, you could have pulled a camp out on top of it. This will clear any rocks or debris granting access to your prize. Of course, you can't have a dragon on agro and still pull the camp so you would have to lure him away first, perhaps use your swoop to do this. Then, go back and drop the camp.

there is a way to solve this
is around the keys to cycle targets or something... i read it in one of the forums, i think the scythe one
anyway, contact me on infinity and i can sell you one of the swords

If you were a Rebel I would feel sorry for you, but, your an Imperial so LOL

there is always one isnt there. someone who cant put aside petty factional differences, who zelously hates members of the opposing faction no matter how they act and who jumps to snap conclusions about a persons factional allegiance based on a little picture by their name. 
May everything you ever try to loot be buried, bugged or broken
On a lighter note, didnt think of a camp, it probably would have worked which makes it more annoying.

Thankfully, not all of us blindly hate those of the opposing faction, and not all of us assume that a forum avatar represents any specific in-game information. So, on behalf of those of us—regardless of faction—who have lost a schematic to a bug (Krayt incap'd me from 90 meters away…then despawned. *sigh*) my condolences, and good luck on your next attempt.

LoL hes going through all this trouble and my PA just has loades of scythes lying around, for instance i have 3 of them on the wall at my house waiting until i can actually use them

There is an NPC somewhere in Entha I think that let's you erase all missoins done on Tat, thus allowing you to do them all twice.

Oh ya and i just remembered something i learned while hunting bountys as a BH thats realy going to make you hate yourself.
All you have to do is place a camp and TA-DA!!!! the rock or tree goes bye bye and you can get your stuff.
