It didn't go to well. Seemed to be a combat med/rifleman. Threw poison, spammed me with a geo gun, kited me, intimidate2 didn't seem to help much, lunge2 didn't work once, I beat and beat on him to no avail thanks to his armor and buffs. I died thanks to bleeds and poison while doing very little damage to him although I lasted 2-3 minutes. Back to the pve field with me I guess.

One question…why was he using a DXR6b? Don't they usually run with Jawa Ions?

Hm…good idea. I'll have to try that with my MCM toon. (Been an MCM for about 4 months, but haven't played the toon in a while. Picked it back up and decided to drop 2-2-0-4 CH for Rifleman, since it's the only ranged I've never tried…the fact that it's FotM kinda sours it, but I'm having fun PvE, so hey, that's what counts, right?)

DXR6 generally has higher accuracy and higher wound rate. A Jawa would have been overkill since the original poster probably wasn't armored too well if at all, being a Wookie. Most timesRiflemen will use a Jawa is in case of armor orfighting indoors because of the short range. Or it could be as a trade off to use a weapon with lower HAM costs that still packs a punch. Also, I believe wookie armor has Acid vulnerability but I'm not sure.

Yup, it's acid vulnerable. Hadn't considered that since I don't necesarilly assume forum avatar = in-game avatar. (My MID/MTailor toon is a Zabrak, MHS/TKM is a Bothan, MCM/Aspiring Rifleman is a Wookiee…the list goes on)

Edit: I'm an idiot. It's not acid vulnerable.

wow! Where have you been?

That like the standardissue CM Ownage tactic right now....Throw mind poison, wait till they are 1 mind(in you 90k/50s composite, then shoot, death blow....With CM riflemen its even faster and Safer.....Throw poison, Head Shot 3, HS3, HS3...Sniper shot....rest 5 seconds of downtime(Thanks to brandy)....Repeat....

This is what causes the major complaints about CM's....Once they put on Good armor, and throw a mind poison on you, they are almost certain to outlast you in 1on1....Unless your a riflemen with some Uber jawa gun.

Hehe…where have I been? Playing a Tailor/Image Designer, then a MHS/TKM—haven't PvP'd much recently, and haven't played my MCM toon in about 3 months. To be honest, even when I did play my MCM I always found PvP much more fun when I lobbed the poisons and diseases from about 10m. It may be stupid, but there's just something about knowing they knew who it came from. Sneaky isn't my style.

Yeah, I think I got my guns mixed up, I'm not very familiar with guns.It probably was a Jawa gun. It was making a weird noise and as I tried to run away, there were some strange tracers flying by me. I don't recall ever being shot with anything like that before. I do hate those Geo guns too though.

Actually, a very common practice is to hit you with both disease and poison. The reason is that if you cannot stop them both, the combination will incap you 3 times and you die with out them having to be anywhere near you, much less them needing to hit you for that one last point. It also is not counted as a PvP death, so you get decay, and the less honorable ones do it without even trying to kill you just so that it costs you in decay.

Then, you get situtations where even when you kill them, if they hit you with the disease and poison and you incapp 3 times, they still figure they win. This happened to me last time, where I killed one, but he got me with the disease/poison combo before he died. While I was waiting out the effects (because the Doc in our group did not have any disease or posion cures on him), the little twit came up next to me and just stood there. Of course, he was no longer overt having been so recently dead, I could not do anything to get rid of him. He just stood there watching. Once I incapped the third time, I got a tell from him saying, "In the end, I win."

Let's see, I died, he died. Being incapped three times, I got decay, but my weapons caused decay on his armor. At best, it sounds like a tie to me. But because I actually killed him,I got 30 faction points off of him, and because he never DBed me, he got nothing from me. So I sent him back a tell saying, "Hardly." I got no reply.

I found out about that poison/disease combo the day after the DoT nerf (yeah, I've been a CM for a while.) It actually kinda sucked—two of my guildmates were dueling and the less experienced of the two won (the other one was trying to show off with carbines and more or less killed himself.) So I stepped up and decided to put the newbie back in his place—in a loving sort of way—I hit him with mind poison and disease and then kited him silly (fencer) and was absolutely shocked when he incap'd. I was sure they'd changed that. When he came up for long enough to say "Ah! Help me!" then incap'd again I felt horrible. There wasn't anyone around who could heal him, so he went down a third time and had to clone. I offered to buy him a new set of armor (he wasn't insured for some weird reason and his armor was beat to begin with) but he never collected. *shrugs* Oh well. Live and learn, right?

Sotaudi, yeah i know....Been a master CM 3x..and currently still have one on ahzi. I was just stating the "current" CMsuper setup....Which is MCM MR, use the poison and rifle to kill them very fast...faster then Many disease even have a chance to tick....And wear the Ultra heavy 80-90% Comp with doc buffing and the new super foods, Suplement Moun or pixie asneeded....Makes you very hard to kill andcertain to kill them very fast....

however, sniper shot is just a bonus in large group PvP....If you throw out area poisons and disease right away, you are gonna be targeted by the full enemy force. However if you Throw some Heavy single poisons and Headshots....Then kill with sniper it atracts much less attention, and you "Kill count" goes up much faster too .....Or you could do hit and Run poison+disease for your group and end up dead after the second throw....Both work

The reason i shy away from the Hit and run is because, Just about EVERYONE and their mother is a TK 4XXX, so while you run away they just med it off and laugh...stacking both poison and disease are pointless when they cancel them both before any damage is done....with rifle to if they stop to med, Well that Good for you(free shots ) and if they chase you, well that also good for you (free poison ticks )...its a win win situation
