so i was on the hologrind...first one says tailor, and i just mastered it

next one says weaponsmith...SCREW THAT

anyways, i originally planned to keep tailor, and try a melee profession to support it (aside from TKA, i never did a melee profession before)

i picked swordsman

im now 1/1/1/1 in swordsman, and thinkiing...wow there is a real lack of skill mods here...i dont know which skill to get, one with no skill mods and some special i may never use or +25 counter attack with no special

so i was thinking maybe trying fencer? or even pikeman? any advice as to which one is better? i PvP rarely (but i do none the less) and usually either solo or hunt with a good friend of mine in PvE...and of course the occasional raids and corvette runs with my guild (speaking of which i get my A$$ handed to me on a silver platter at the 'vette)

any suggestions? i cant do both unfortunately, because i want to keep master tailor

thanks!

Depends what you want. I havnt done swordsman yet (just started it) but i can tell you it is the dmg dealer of the group. Fencer makes one hell of a tank. Just dropped it for swordsman andI will probably miss it. Fencer dosnt do much dmg on high lvl npcs because of armor but you will be able to tank anything while your friends pick it apart. Pikeman was not a fun experiance for me. Seems everything about it is broken. Slow, underpowered, I just feel bad for pikeman.

So it depends what you like.

Support and the ability to solo lower lvl things I would say fencer.

High dmg and from the sound of it the ability to solo anything with the right setup go swordsman.

Pikeman takes dedication because they get no love.

Swordsman is my favorite of all the melee classes. Has good area attacks and the blast damage is really good for taking out nightsisters. Really fun in pve and pvp.

Fencer's defenses don't help enough against high level mobs to make up for the lack of damage.

Pikeman has serious accuracy issues if you want to use the long vibro axe. I had -50 to hit with it the entire time. The damage from pikeman isn't enough to make up for the speed and poor accuracy. Worst accuracy of all brawler classes. A positive of pikeman is that the moves look cool when you do them.

Why dont you go with M. Swordsman and fencer 4440 along with your M Tailor. with 4 skill points left over.

Doing that much of fencer will give you a lot of great defences along with all the offence that goes along with swordsman.

Since we're having this discussion... which melee class makes the best tank?

Another question i wanted to know... what's a good combo for swordsman for PVE besides Doctor and Rifleman?

Why not all 3?

Corse I think TKA, Fencer, Sword would be stronger.

Fencer is the best tank. Swordsman is the damage dealer. So a combination of both would be great.
