Id like to know which is better in PVE are or they about the same as i would like to try it and see but would like to have some info

Swordsman is the better choice.

Pikeman was great, and it has been improved a bit - but it can't compare to swordsman yet.

I am, are you only doing PvE? If you are, try both! They both do very well (from what I've seen) in PvE.You can take out NS for an Energy Lance (even thoughit STINKS LIKE NOTHING I'VE EVERSEEN!) for pikeman, and you can killthose elders for nice DOT pikes.

I'm actually going for master pikeman/ master swordsman (and maybe master fencer)

pikeman are nice because of their various area attacks, and their area knock down with sweep2. i have the defense line in pikeman, i like the feel of pikeman, but i like the look, and feel, and power of swordsman. the only melee class i dont care too much about is teras kasi, it's fun, but nowhere near as much as swordsman, or pikeman, fencer is also decent as well. i'm going for a full melee defensive template, 4/3/0/4 tka, 2/4/4/0 fencer, master swordsman, and 0/0/4/0 (master defense) in pikeman, and master brawler, which lets me experience all of the melee classes.

I am Master Sword/Master Pike/TKM

I tend to use the sword the most. But it is nice to have that 3rd damage type when you run in to high resists to kenetic and blast. I keep tkm just to tank and the med line. if I dont care about damage and just need to take damage I go unarmed.
