Keep running huurtons and get Intermediate Sword Defense for Two-Hand Spin Attack 2 and then keep with the huurton missions, target the lair and spam Two-Hand Spin Attack 2. With doc and food buffs you will get a lot of xp quickly. Thats what I did.

A lot of people tell me to go to the Squill caves, how does everyone feel about that?

You can but it'll take you a while. Get your speed up first with spin attack 2 and hit quenker lairs. Easy there or hit the geo caves. The spawn rate is good there...if you can survive past the first few rooms.

I've always hated dantooine, I've always liked to grind on dathomir. The first time I mastered swords I did rancors, though I don't suggest doing rancors unless you are a doc or TKA who can heal his own wounds and or stop disease, because rancors will disease heavily on occasion. I went from 0404 to master in 1 set of buffs doing rancors, and rancors aren't even the best xp/time out there.
Also on dathomir I loved doing mutant baz nitches with the spin attack, though mutant baz nitch lairs are not that common to find. The easiest and most common spawns on dathomir are lurking shear mites and gaping spiders. Gaping spiders are really easy and give about 4000 or so xp per (maybe 3800, cant remember, its been a while) and you can get a ton of them out of a lair and just spam spin attack on them and really fly up the trees.
Also, you can handle the lower level nightsisters at your current level, so if you happen to come across some while you are hunting these creatures on dath, you could take them out for fun too.

Well I was a die hard Master Pistoleer/Master Smuggler/TKM for 4 months, but when I heard that the Smuggler and Combat revamps are both delayed past JTLS I couldn't take it anymore. I've been working on Swords now for 2 days and I'm a 0013 Swordsman, and I'm loving every minute of this profession. It is no wonder so many people are into it. Anyways, the next chance I get I'm heading to Dathomir to see what kind of damage I have. The only other question I have is what should I be using on Dath-- Scythe or Power Hammer? I suppose it all depends on the creature. Good Stuff, great profession-- Swordsman!

LOL!
I was a Master Smuggler Pistoleer BH myself 24 hours ago. After finding out the delay, I said F**k it. Time to go Swords like 80% of my server population
Planning to retain my Master Smuggler though, and Master Swords with a bit in Riflemen for the Mind DoT.

I said the same exact thing you said, how ironic, LOL!! Except I've decided to go all melee. I met someone in the Nighsister Caves once who was soloing an Elder without takinga scratch. I asked them their template and I fell in love with it now that I've done the research.

Dont go for nightsisters till master.
Do jantas or rancors.
Dont worry about the reputation of the rancor...the reputation of an apprentice heavy swords is far greater
Buffed and brandy double drink.Muon on hotkey. solo group.30k missions.
use spin 2.Once you spawn one ,spin 2 on the spawn but stay next to the nest, they will drop on your head.
If the coast is clear..take a little rest for your mind.
4k XP per rancor x 10 per nest x 3 missions= 120000xp and 90000creds
Minus broken armour travel buffs brandy and rebuffs and cloning costs and insurance and weapon wear and........

just go to the squill cave with your power hammer, and aggro as many squills

I've been ginding on pikets and Huurtons and am dying to try my mettle against some NS flesh but am not sure if my template is strong enough yet.
I am:
Swordsman 0 3 0 2
Smuggler 0 0 1 0
Marksman 240 4
I wear 80% composite helm/ body/ leggings. 3 Hour buffs and brandy, canape, synthsteak plus a vial of pixie and muon sitting in the wings in case of emergencies.
Right now I am using a laser rifle to pop my victim with a headshot and then peace-ing out. Switch to PH/Curved Sword and then dropping a bleed on the brain and then hammering the point with head hits.
Is there a way to be more effective in battle?

Yeah, I'm dropping smuggler and what pistol I have. Could be 6 months before revamps and not worth it when I didnt even master. Had TKA before but getting sword too and some of fencer.

I'll say it again, because not enough people know about it.... Lok. Go hunting "nests", which are wild gurk lairs. Keep spinning on those, and you'll get 125K xp per lair, and fast. Plus, when the king spawns (75% of the time) you have a better than average chance at getting gurk king hides, which sell for 200-500K on my server. Your economy may vary =)

Okay,
Let me better flesh out my template-
Swordsman 0 2 0 2
Smuggler 0 0 1 0
Marksman 0 4 0 4
MASTER MEDIC
Now I got Music/Dancer and Doc Buffs. A Steak Dinner washed down with two servings of Brandy and a plate of Canape for desert. The Helm, Body and leggings of 80% Comp. All topped off with a bad attitude.
I was going to ger Swordsman 0 3 0 2 on my way out but as per ya'lls advice I went 0 2 1 2. And what good advice it was!
I went to the NS vs Singing Clan battlefield. Rolling past many an angry Rancor. I did not stop to play. I was on a mission.
I chose the battlefield in hopes that the Sisters would be fighting and therefore wounded and distracted and they were.
3 NS were fighting a Rancor and the Rancor was totally winning. The problem? I had to get down there and get my licks in if I wanted to get in on that LOOT! So I run down and start spin2-ing them all. The rancor drops but the sisters don't. With three of them on me my HAM is falling like mercury on in the winter.
That's where the master medic/smuggler came in. I drop a few heals on myself and feign.
The sisters /raspberry my "corpse" and walk away.
Now I know the second I get up- they are all going to come back on me- but their bars are pretty damn low. If I take this lil' break I should be fine.
I finally jump up and the sisters return. I rotate between them dropping Intimidate and COB-ing myself (of course!) and it isn't long before they start walking away from me. I switch to pistol and pop them all one by one. No sweet loot but them NS run with lots of cash compared to Meatlumps let me tell ya.
Then I start pulling them one by one. And they are no match. That's when I looted my first NS lance. 5.6 speed. 16-321 Dam but it's got a Disease DOT on it that lasts 1200s and is 70% potent (that is a good thing right?) It's got some other crazy stats but can't recall them now.
After that a big bad NS (somekinda witchy chick) came out and cleaned my clock- (I was a little slow with the feign). DB'd me pretty quick too
So I buffed- came back and did it again. No good loot but a lot of fun. And after a while ANOTHER trip to the cloning center.
This time I popped a pixie and brandy and returned to clean up the mess with no prob.
I think I might try a lil' pikeman along with my MS just to play with my new toy
