Ok. I've read through this board and I see post after post about being able to kill this or that, but you have to have this template or that one to do it.
What about those of us who choose to only be a Master Swordsman? No Master Brawler, no TKM, no Rifleman or other combat professions thrown in. What kinds of mobs should we be able to kill while:
unbuffed and unarmored
unbuffed, wearing kinetic ubese armor
unbuffed, wearing composite armor
buffed and unarmored
buffed, wearing kinetic ubese
buffed, wearing composite
Well, you get the idea

I am master sword/master doc, but for a while I was master artisan sword. I still believe as a master swordsman alone you can solo just about anything in the game. I've soloed and elder with nothing but MHS, and packs of enraged rancors. That was all buffed and in ubese or comp. But, unbuffed you just have to test the waters. I havent done it much. But I have beenin a small group on Endor unbuffed and we were pretty unstoppable. I think a lot of the other profs just make sword easier and better, but are not necessary. I mean even as master doc, although I am buffed, I rarely use stims on myself. Occasionally if things look like they might get hairy I will use some state heals, but not really that common.

I can't comment on unbuffed, because honestly, 10K for buffs is a drop in the bucket, 1/3 of one mission for me. Getting a buff right after log-in is standard procedure.
With MHS and novice medic and a set of ubese or composite, you can take on ALMOST anything. There are the Mokk Rockshapers, which are 100% kinetic and blast resistant, and a few spidercult clan characters that are 100% blast and kinetic resist, but other than that, you have a damn good shot at anything else in the game. Name it, find it, kill it. Almost gets boring sometimes

unbuffed i wont even comment on, because it just comes down to how quickly you can heal yourself, as using swordsman specials without buffs will have you at ZERO ham within about 3 hits, so you get to heal about every 5 seconds....fun.
anyhow75% ubese and 80% comp are basically the same thing and what you can kill falls into 1 category. everything. if you are smart about things and keep things intimidated, etc you can kill just about everything in the game except those that are 100% resistant to both kinetic and blast.i used to solo krayts and the nightsister cave every day as a 0403 swordsman.
if you don't use your head and use all the skills available to you (intimidate is what im talking about here) you can be the highest defense stacker in the world and still die to nightsister sentry...
