Thread: PvE All Melee Template Question

Alrighty, I am a die hard melee player I started the game ranged found it boring and started melee as a TKM, Loved it and eventually mastered all melee professions not combined but solo... I am thinking of another template with the focus on PvE, and eventually PvP, What do you think of this combo? PvE wise and PvP? Does the over kill on defenses not matter at some point?


Master Swordsmen / Master Brawler / TKA 2-2-0-0 / Fencer 2-2-0-0 / Pikemen 0-0-4-0. Medic 0-1-2-0.

Giving me the ability to meditate away any posions desieses and wounds recieved after a fight with a mob that gives the dots


Its a true dabbler but I bellieve with the massing of the defenses in PvE the toughness that Swordsmen already holds will be greatly increased by the defenses.


I am aware that Swordsmen Alone is a pretty kick-arse PvE fighter, 'Specially if mixed with master doc. I would love some feedback on how this template would do simply for PvE, And I know most do not like this but if I needed to go PvP I could just get the defense from swords and go master fencer. Not saying I would but just an option if PvE got old.

OK lets see here...first off drop Medic, it is almost a waste, the times that you die because someone hits your action/health are rather few. That will free up 22 SP to use in TKA (speically since you need 4xxx to actually heal wounds)or Fencer. I would also possibly drop Pikeman in order to get higher in TKA/Fencer. I would suggest possible the following:


Master Swordsman / Master Brawler / TKA 2-2-0-0 / Fencer 4-4-4-3


or


Master Swordsman / Master Brawler / TKA 4-4-4-3 / Fencer 2-2-0-0


or


Master Swordsman / Master Brawler /Master Fencer / TKA 4300


Personally I would take the 3rd option, but that is just me. It offers the most defense and would leave you with enough SP to get novice medic or 4300 TKA so you can heal wounds.

I'm running as Master Brawler/Master Swordsman/Master Fencer/TKA 4304 and completely love it

If you are using Swords and your offense, then I don't see why you would waste the points in any of the other melee offensive trees. Personally I run Master Swords/ Master Brawler/ TKA 4-3-0-4/ Fencer 0-2-4-0/ Pikeman 0-0-4-0/ Novice Medic.

There is no reason to haveTKA Power Techniquesunless you want to fight unarmed. And TKA Precision Strike is better than Fencer Fencing Stances and Grips for melee and ranged defense unless there again you want to use One-Hit Specials they offer. Strictly Defense I would go with this template. If you don't want Medic, then drop it and pick up the rest of the second tree in Fencing to add +30 Knockdown Defense and +30 Posture Change Defense, and the first 2 blocks of Fencing Stances and Grips to max Melee Defense and be close to max on Ranged Defense.

This is the template that I'm using, well, once I get off my butt and finish grinding out the remainder of my Fencer - Master Swordsman/Master Brawler/TKA 4004/Fencer 4400/Medic 3040. I could get more defenses if I dropped medic down to Novice, but I prefer the ability to heal myself well in PvE. The skills that this temp give me -
