Thread: Server wide conspiracy against swordsman loot?

Or am I just being terribly paranoid
Untill recently I was rifleman, and I killed a few nightsisters on Dathomir. I managed to get 4 crystals alltogether in a very short period of time. Both white and color ones. As you may know, there are a lot of nightsister types that have 100% resist to energy and are only vulnerable to blast or kinetic damage. So I passed by a lot of these nightsisters simply because I couldn't kill them. But even so I was able to gather 4 (or was it 5) crystals in about 2 hours from the nightsisters that I COULD kill.
Seeing all those nightsisters that I wasnt able to kill, I decided to go back to swordsman. In the past 2 days I have been hunting those nightisters on Dathomir, and not ONCE have I picked up a crystal. I am not exagerating when I say that I have killed over 100 nightisters of different sorts. Including Elders. Very rarely have I picked up ANY loot, but when I did, it was usually a lance of sorts. But this was VERY rare. Out of the 100 nightsisters I have killed, I am guessing I have looted about 3 lances (which btw weren't that good).
Yesterday we were a small group hunting on Dathomir to try and get some crystals and other interesting loot. We were 3 swordsmen, 1 TKM and 1 BH. One of the very first times we kill a nightsister, the TKM loots a crystal. Huh?!?! None of the swordsmen loot anything, except credits.The BH didn't loot anything either but that was mainly due to the fact that he was doing ranged support and the rest of us looted the bodies before he could get close enough. We had set up a "share loot policy" so this wasn't a problem.
Then I was told that Moks and Jantas on Dantooine also drop crystals. Since I was in need of money anyway, I went to Dantooine to do some money missions and perhaps loot some crystals. After 8-10 missions, I had looted 1 wooden staff (no dots). Weeeeee. One of the swordsmen that was with me on Dathomir, had decided to go back to TKM (he had dumped it recently to try out swordsman but didn't much like it). So he dumps swordsman and re-learns a lot of TKM skills and starts to grind the rest on Dantooine. The very first Mok mission he does as TKA, he loots a crystal!
And there is more....
For the second time in 2 days I get to the bottom of the Geo cave. First time I killed it, I get Acklay Venom. Wohooo! Absolutely useless. Second time was last night and I didn't have the fortune to get to loot the Acklay because another swordsman outdamaged me. But he got Acklay venom too.
I am beginning to see a pattern here. Do you see it too?
It may well be that I am just unlucky (I am still trying to convince myself to belive that). But now I am hearing that other swordsmen have been having poor luck too. Kinda makes you go; Hmmmm.....
So, fellow swordsmen. Please, PLEASE, tell me that I have just been unlucky and that I am being totally paranoid to make a headline that says "Server wide conspiracy against swordsman loot". I would feel a little better if someone would post here that they have (recently) looted crystals from either Moks, Jantas, or Nightsisters. Then I promise I will go back on my medication

No worries mate! It seems the loot of the nightsisters ebbs and flows like the tide (I have a theory that it's mentrual). Last time I went hunting I got nothing, couple crappy lances and some credits (and of course nothing else of value off the three Elders I sent to the underworld). But a few days before thatI looted a couple nice crystals and an (Exceptional) Wood Staff (I'm still ticked off about the staff, no DoT) as well as some above average layers and shards.
Saturday night my mates and I took on the acklay and got some bones... just base mind you, but it's alot better than venom or nothing This was my first time getting bones, but only the 3rd time we'd gotten loot rights on the beast.

well i been doing dant for 2 months now an not pulled 1 crystal.
but on the flip side when i was pistoler i looted one off a cu-pa
im really starting to think the loot might not be so random to.

It comes and goes, some nights Ill do really well and some nights I cant seem to loot anything.

I'm masterswordsman/tkm/masterbrawler and just last night I looted 4 clear force crystals off of ns's in like 3 hours, plus a bunch of other crap like shards and lances.

in about 2 hours of killing nightsisters on one day...i found
2 crystals ( one good and one excellent quality )
1 armor attachment with +10 2h counterattack
a nightsister lance (useless kind)
2 locked containers
thats good loot in my book

o and btw i got 7 yellow cubes and only had to camp the geo caves for 3 days
but when i killed the acklay.....i got 5 acklay hide GRRR

It does go back and forth. I usually spend about 6 hours a day on dath hunting NS. Some days I get 10-12 crystals and a few halfway decent lances, other days I get 2-3 crystals and satchels. Every once in a while I get some of the loot kit drops but I spend most of the time deleting armor shards, or segments or heavy duty leather or clasps. U just have to be persistant, and the loot will come to u. Though I have yet to get an exceptional weapons (though I did get 3 pieces of excpetional heavy duty leather). Just hang in there and keep the area3, sweep2 macro flying!

I have a bag of 10 Clear crystals off nightsisters 4 of them from Elders off just the last time I went Nightsister hunting .....

I'm a Master Swordsman on Corbantis, and I've literally killed probably over 3000 Jantas, and the only decent thing I have ever gotten was ONE jar of mediocre Janta Blood.

loot tends to vary day to day for me
I have one really good day when I fill my inventory and backpack with useful stuff - the next day in the same spots I come away with nothing.
As has already been said you have to keep at it - the more you kill the greater your chance of getting something good - I have bad loot nights but Ive still got 30+ crystals over the last few weeks, 3 skill tapes, 2 exceptional weapons and loads of other stuff.
I have one really good day when I fill my inventory and backpack with useful stuff - the next day in the same spots I come away with nothing.

I was killing Aakuans last night, for about two hours. I got:
- One Aakuan Ring (+5 ranged defense, this was what I'd been looking for. Just need to find another one now 
)
)- Various other aakuan stuff, with the poison and bleeding resists and stuff (junk, but still lewt)
- 3 locked containers
- A pistol speed +6AA, which I'm trading with one of my guildmates for a 2h Speed +8 bandolier.
I was pretty pleased with that
