Im a master sword master doc right now and have been having a lot of run with this, But also i want to hunt some big bad night sisters. Swords doc seems to work ok with it but i am looking for something with more power to possibly take out elders and such. I was wondering if anyone could post a response to a rifleman/swordsman and how well this would work out and if anyone has done it. I have been going through the boards and have seen a pikeman/rifles seems to be a good combo but i love swords to much and cant stand to drop it. Any opinions would be greatly appreciated thank you.

I've never tried riffles but as a master swordsman / master doc I can tell you that the bleed heals andcure statestims come in very handy while fighting elders. I've soloed a couple and in my opinion (especially since patch 9) Master Doc is more valuble than Master Riffles could ever be. There is no doubt that Master swords / Master Riffles is a powerfull duo.

im a master rifleman/master swordsman/4/0/0/0 tka/novice medic. I love it, handy for pvp and pve.

rifles arent good foreldersunless youve got ranger camo, and even then its a long and tedious process.

im a speed capped rifleman, took about 12 minutes with a 509 max dmg t21 and conceal shot. Of course the only prob with it is that if theybleed thenyou have to run and start again because just a rifleman against an elder stands little chance. You can macro it, but dont afk macro it 
Its funny this should come up because I planned to go Mrifles/Mswords/TKA 4004/Med 1000 for krayt/NS/jedi bashing. Seems like a good template, 122 mel defence, capped ranged defence, both mitigations (for pvp), meditate, force of will etc.

Hmmm. Personally to fight NS I wouldnt go with a mix of ranged/melee. They are tough now, you need every skill point you have. I would master Swords and brawler. Then mix and match some defenses from other melee profs, and dont forget meditate TKA is handy. Also get novice medic at the least. Get some injury treatment BE clothing and maybe splurge on some medical use skills to get better stims. Then get some mind food, and get full buffs, both doc and entertainer. When fighting keep using Intimidate2. Oh and good luck!

I tried Swordsmen/Riflemen on TC2 for a while, and i found although you can do the same damage type, once the mobs gets up close, it's a real pain to switch weapons, and you lose valuable seconds. I used to be a swordsmen/doc (dropped doc and i am currently re-learning it), and i think you could really go for elders with swordsmen/doc, you just have to use the right specials and the right foods.
Just today i solo'd a Tusken Witchdoctor with swordsmen/master medic (although witch doctors aren't that tough, they certainly pack a punch).

Melee and ranged defense is quiet worthless while killing high-end-mobs like elders or krayts....they wont miss u even if u stun them....and keep in mind....master swords is far from being spd.-capped...especially while using powerhammers....last thing u should remember...NPCs got there specials back and so Nightsisters doing Lightsaber-Specials again! This attacks bypass any armor/psg u are wearing....being buffed(doc+musican+dancer) could be not enough when a bunch of ns chocking your a$$ and stack some bleeds ticking for +400.....Im out to dath nearly every day for hunting down some sisters....medic 0040 safed many times my a$$...
