Thread: Guide to regrinding Swordsman for the seasoned vet.

Firstly some things in this are important.

1) This is for people who already have a swordsman and need to regrind an alt or 2nd slot.

2) Money is not of any importance to you.

3) assuming you have already got novice swords.


Go out and buy a nice set of composite/ubese - you can get it sliced, but it doesn't really matter (as who can find a smuggler these days!).

Make sure you have a crate of nice long Vaserian brandy.

And try and find a nice speed sliced PH on the bazaar (we all sell the ones that don't dmg slice as they are useless once master!). a nice 4.0 or less will do, say around 400-500dmg.


drop spin1 attack onto the toolbar (i've use 2nd line - slots 12-23) slot 13. (2nd slot line 2)

and a simple macro

/ui action toolbarSlot13;

/pause 1;

/loot all;

/ui action toolbarSlot12;


dropped onto slot 12 (first slot 2nd line) will speed things up.


Get buffed and head to lok - server dependant this one, as some servers will have a PC with a swords trainer, some wont. Starsider is lucky in that it has a PC with a swords trainer just East of Mount Chalot.


A few C12 grenades can also help that combat xp along here, as grinding the entire swords xp will still not finish that last box in Finesse - but worry about that later.


Okay now we take gurk missions, or... if the server is spawning well, random gurk lairs (much better option as you get a lot more spawn from them). Target the lair and hit the attack macro and then browse the forums for a min or so!!


Once we have the 1st 175k xp , train 'intermediate swords defence' this is to get spin attack 2, as it does almost 50% DPS on average to spin 1, and the first speed box gives nothing usefull - so better to get the dmg and then the speed.


Remeber to change your attack in slot 13 (2nd slot line 2) to be spin 2.


Now we train all the way up the techniques tree, as this will improve our speed. (keeping an eye on the finesse tree, as once we get expert finesse, then we can move to that nice scythe that we have the ADK on !)


now you should be around 0-4-1-(2/3), and have spent about 3hrs. I found training the Defence tree next to get the mellee dmg mitiagation was better, but i suppose it doesn't really matter that much, as we only have about 2-3 hrs left at this point


From here, it is pretty optional as to which tree's you train next, as the xp is rolling in pretty quick.


6-7hrs from starting - you are now master swords - time to unlock the FS melee speed and get that +12 lol

ur idea is good at start, but its much better to go train at the warren once youve gotten a little ways into swordsman.

At which point would you recommend the warren ?

Novice swordsman just go to warren with spin1 then get spin2. You will master in a buff set aslong as you have 1) trainer nearby and 2) 3h30m+ buffs.

Squil Caves did it for my alt. Longer grind then tkm or fencer by far. As far as the skill box progression, I agree with xx1x, xx41x then everything else.

Merc Room at Genosian Cave was similar, but a quicker grind, from what I remember. Even better if you have a MS hanging out with you.

squil caves are ultimate grinding for swodsman, u can argo aobut 10 of em, do spin attack, and ther u have 4k a piece so thats about 40k
