ok correct me if im wrong ..... but from what i've seen we are gonna be loosing intimidate . We are also changing from awesome tanks to damage dealers . If we are no longer the tanks , then why are they letting us keep taunt ? shouldnt that be for a tanker ?

Why are they letting us keep taunt ? Wouldn't that be more usefull for a tank ? from what i understand we are gonna become more of a damage dealer instead of the awesome tanks that we r now . & no intimidate

you get taunt at novice brawler, and you get a improved taunt in one of the swordsman trees

It won't really matter after the CU. With the hatred rules, the mob will go after the one dealing the most damage.

Are you serius about the hatred rule ?
Yeah, had it happening last night when grouped with a novice rifleman. I would start the fight, but the first shot the rifle got in , the creatures aggro would swap to him.

You might want to /bug that I believe taunt is supposed to sort of counter act hatred and bring the creatures back to the tanks.

in an encounter with a creature, who it attacks is dependent on who it "hates" the most. if a rifleman start out the battle with a 500 damage headshot, he'll run after him. this is why its important for the tanks (after the cu being tka, pikeman and bh) to throw taunts in say every 5th attack (which could vary depending on how much damage is being thrown out) to keep the animal hatred higher on the tank, therefore retaining aggro.

Taunts would never hold aggro that long. If I attacked first, the first shot from the rifle would break aggro on me and it would go after the rifle. Throw a taunt out, and it would stop for a second, but as soon as the rifle got a big hit in, it would go after him. Basically, for me to hold aggro, I would have to taunt every other attack.
This may change further up the tree as the master level weapons look to deal about the same amount, while the novice elite weapons for ranged classes are higher damage.

true the taunts in game dont last that long and arent that effective, but in a nutshell (and based from other mmo's iv played) thats what a taunts supposed to do. if they plan on making this game as group orientated as they claim, they had better beef up the taunts to be able to hold hatred on the tank, so that a few well placed rifleman or sworsman shots dont draw aggro like crazy.

Not only that but we get Area Taunt LOL
What good is that if we can only hit 1 enemy at a time?
