I spent a lot of time in dungeons just trying to be a novice swodsman. I'm done with that. Anyone have any ideas as to something I could do that would be fun? I really need to gain XP and I'm an "off and on" player. I was thinking about going to a harder planet and just taking missions but if anyone has any ideas, please share. Also, I'm using a two-handed curved sword now. Is the power hammer a good step up for me or should I find a scythe? Are power hammers fast?

Easiest n pretty fast way to get to novice, would be to get some good med buffs. Not just crappy action/health ones but stamina, etc. as well. That way you should be pretty good at soloing some yellows/reds. Any planet is good for this, but planets like Endor, Lok etc. are full of good kills. Easiest place for decent xp is Talus at low levels. N stcik with the 2hnd curved, its best til you get the accuracy bonuses from the ?Finesse? box, or whichever gives those.

yeah talus is a great place for xp expecally once you start really leveling up i think about lvl 21 or so you can get tortur missions they are the best ones ti get because if i take two missions i can get like 30k exp from both of them.

OK, I'm on talus and can't find a mission over 11 difficulty. What is a tortur? These all look pretty easy and def. not around 30k of XP

Without a doubt, Fort Tusken is the way to go. Find a master doctor to buff you before heading out (my master of choice charges me 3K for all 6 buffs unless I've brought him some nice organics) and buy a crate of muon gold to take care of your mind attributes. Stick w/ a group, but make sure you keep using two-handed hit 2 and your highest level spin attack unless you're w/ a group of riflemen in which case use head hit and mind hit as often as possible since their special attacks damage the mind pool as well. When you're in the middle of your muon gold downer, back off some 'cause your mind pool will be severely reduced and will not regenerate w/o the aid of an entertainer. If you have good armor (I have some decent composite currently but went through the fort several times w/o dying w/ ubese), you won't have much to worry about unless one of the captains hits you w/ one of his badass bleed hits that tend to cause ~1000 wounds. I usually spend some quality time w/ a medic and/or an entertainer at a camp outside the fort if that happens.

If you must solo, I run veermok missions on Naboo. They might be too hard for a pure novice, but you can earn 9K XP off one lair.
