Hello Swordsman!

I'm considering the following and would appreciate your opinion.

Zabrak Brawler

Master Swordsman

Novice TKA with Meditate 4

Novice Scout with Exploration 4

Novice Medic with...? Not sure what to put on Medic so I can use decent stims during battle...will have the meditate and basic camp for after battle.

Whats the best weapon? I want to use a sword...not a hammer or axe. If there is no decent sword, I will just got TKM like everyone else.

What do you guys think?

If they can make them good, a two hand cleaver is not a bad weapon. It has a higher min damage than the curved sword, however on my server I think the colat iron is no good so the curved swords still come out ahead.

I tend to use a curved sword mostly because of the look and the speed, and it has good damage too. The power hammer I will pull out on people without helmets that I want to drop in one or two hits or for larger things (pets) that I need to hit with massive bleeds.

I highly suggest getting at least Pharmacology 3 for Stim C if not Pharmacology 4 for Stim D's (most good medics can make the D's with a default 40 med use req if they use the right materials, even though the base is 45 or so). Also First Aid is the multiplier on how much damage you heal, so the higher that is the more you'll get out of your stims. And in Diagnostics 2 is a great ability called /drag where you can drag people who have given you /consent or are in your group (great for when someone falls in pvp and you don't want them to get deathblowed, drag them out of harm's way til they can be healed/revived).

Honestly, if you can spare the points, you might just consider going for Master Medic so you can craft your own decent stims and wound kits as well as be able to use them well. If not, I'd recommend at least First Aid 2 (First Aid itself is a necessary skill for bleeds, even though you'll have meditation FA is quicker), Diagnostics 2 (for the /drag), and Pharmacology 3 (stim C).

Me, I went all out to Master Doctor so I can revive the dead, heal my and other's wounds very quickly, and give myself incredible enhances as well as cure poison and disease on the fly.

Anyone else with any advice?

I appreciate the help with the med advice, however I was wondering what someone thinks of learning TK just for meditate.

being a zabrack will slow down your regen and you will need that of course. Everything else you have put is exactly what i have done and live quite well. Using a twohanded sword i think is the way to go, i have not had any problems with taking down creatures and players alike. Because of the server im on i have not yet seen a very high powered cleaver but i do have one and high hopes for it. Luck is in your favor with this profession so have fun. Beware the lone swordsman.

You know you'll be terrible in PvP, right? And if you do any sort of GCW activity there's a possibility of PvP, as just going out and doing covert missions will leave you open to attack.

If you're willing to live with that, then yes, an all-brawler template can work very well.

As per my other thread, though, I think you should consider Creature Handling, at least as an addition to your brawling. With you and your pet attacking something, your pet will usually take at least half the damage. This is a real life saver because you can heal your pet's mind but you can't heal your own!
