Hello everyone...!

I have some general questions regarding the swordsman class where I simply can't find answers on this board!

1) Does strength affect the damage you do in any way? So e.g. if you are a wookie and you have 900 strength are you dealing more damage than a human with minimum strength and wearing armor (below 200 strength then)? I read several posts but it seems that noone is really sure about... so please share your research !

2) Does strength in any way affect how much your health bar drains if you get hit? Or does strength only influence things you do (reducing HAM costs etc.)

3) Does your Action or Quickness in any way influence the speed on how fast you are swinging your weapon?

4) I found out that a swordsman in general does not have much defense abilities... would it be useful to also train fencer, Pikeman or Terra Kesi skills, to just have better defense, dodge, counterattackabilities while in 2hand combat? Or aren't they used while in 2hand combat?

So thanks in advance,
LD

I wouldn't bother with two types of melee, unless you are going for Master Brawler.

Nope a Transdoshan with 400 speed swings at the same rate and power as a Rodian with 900 speed.

Nope. It only effects how quickly your strength regenerates.

Nope, I'm afraid not. And it's really pathetic too when you consider that a Rodian with 400 strength can do the same damage as a Wookie with 900 or a Transdoshan with 800......

As I recall constitution dictates the regen rate and strength is health usage. Basicly for every 100 or so str above 400 you can removeabout 5% (SWAG) of the the ham you wouldve lost for the hit example: if you wouldve swung your sword for -160 to your health with a 900 str you would lose only around 125 essentially saveing you 35 health every time you wouldve done that special attack.

con is in my opinion rather broken... it is good for evening out action and health hits if your useing a power hammer as you can regen around 5 pts a second with 800 con. however, since i do not know of any race that really regens both action and health (except the armour impaired wookie) I am constantly useing my stims (ie my mind) as my regen. Lately i went to maxing my mind regen and ignoreing the others regens as they are basicly worthless to me. BTW get the doc made stim Bs they heal for 300+ and if you have first aid 3 or better you will heal avg 500+. so for 80 mind i get 500 in health AND action... makes the only thing i really care about mind...

Health- Your hit points on your health Pool

Strength- Determines the amount of Health used during a special move. THe higher it is, the less it costs you.

Costitution- Determines the regen rate of your Health

The same goes for

Action-Same as health

Quickness- Same as Str except for action pool

Stamina- Same as Constitution except for Action pool

Mind- Same as health/action

Focus- Same as str and quick except for mind

Willpower- Same as constituion and Stamina except for mind pool

Thanks for your answers... well I already knew the things with the HAM bars however I thought that there are maybe some other influenceson the damage/speed etc. ! So I should not worry about when removing the strength and stamina to minimum and using stim packs instead
