I still have no info. The only thing I've heard is the Q&A that I've already posted:
Q. Why is my 30 million credit power hammer now worthless? The top 1% of powerhammers did not convert into the top 1%.
A. Each weapon was converted given the new stats for that particular weapon. So, while your weapon may have been in the top 1% of all weapons on the server, it would have been converted to be in the top 1% of the new powerhammer stats. This means that depending on where each weapon falls within the new scheme, it may have gotten an overall nerf, while still being the most powerful weapon of its particular type.
I have 3 hammers:
pre 806 max post 284 dps
pre 611 max post 297 dps
post cu crafted 310 dps
I have been trying to get the Dev team to see that something doesnt add up fairly. My idea was to convert DPS-DPS, not damage to damage. That would ahve been the way to make the hammers stay the same through the CU conversion.
Now the sad news is they havnt answered me about it. I have even gotten reprimanded trying to get this point across. I think we are going to have to accept this as 'working as intended'.
I'll keep bugging them, but as far as I know its not even a known issue.

Ive currently made a switch to usng my old hammer its lower DPS but more MAX damage,,, I think with swords the DPS may not matter as much since with our action costs we cant spam nearly as fast as ranged and not drain action,,, so it would seem that its better to use your action on big damage hits meaning more MAX damage,,, im currently testing,,,,
a 304 DPS hammer that with speed Pup hits 690 DPS and has 990 max damage
and
A 289 DPS hammer that with a Damage Pup hits only 555 DPS but has 1289 max damage
I hit much harder witht he 1289 max damage and drain action just about the same meaning there is still some wait time to do big action attacks,,, im going to try to get some volunteer targest to test out the damage over time for real when you factor in the action cost

the problem here isn't one of math, its one of emphasis and context.
The players looked at a 900 max damage preCU powerhammer and think its uber... mostly because they're speedcapped and but in part becuase of loot making damage the only stat that really could be drastically changed.
The staff approaced conversions from an entirely different context... sure, you may have had a damage sliced acklay powerhammer, but its other stat - speed - was basically as bad as you could possibly get. So when they saw your 30million credit powerhammer they didn't evaluate it based on however many credits you paid for it (that /still/ isn't a stat on a wep, although some day, post station exchange, who knows) but instead saw great max damage, pretty good min damage and crappy speed and thus saw it as "above average"
There really is no right or wrong answer here as to how things should have been converted, but it is certainly clear that here, like SO, SO many other places in this game the staff and the players continue to be on totatally different pages talking about the same "issue" but in totally different contexts and making little progress because of it.

People need to stop worrying about their hammers and start worrying MORE about how our Corr. got reprimanded for trying to get a definitive answer out of the Devs.
My 25 million credit 952 max pre-nerf is out-damaged by a pre-nerf *speed sliced* Republic made in January 2004 with 30/-0.3 tissues...my PH was made with a 91-331 Acklay Bone and got a 24% damage slice.
Think I'm a little pissed? Ya huh.
But that still doesn't overshadow the fact that our Correspondent is not only being ignored, but being shunned for doing his job.
