Thread: two handed XP after CU

I'm a TKM/MB and I wanted to after master swords. However, I'm getting my butt kicked a bit trying to take creatures at my level (learning curve I guess w/ TKM no longer being a powerhouse). I'm using a two handed weapon, but it seems to be a very low damage (~190 a hit). Is this due to pre-CU weapon issues? Or do I just suck that much at the moment?

I did a respec and got rid of commando and master marksman to play around a bit, this is the first time I've played in 8 months. Is there a better way to gain XP with the current setup?

grouping is crucial. when in a group with 8 people the critters will go down fast and the XP will roll in

Yeah, that seems to be the case. Although I am clocking 13K per slinking voritor lizzies (or whatever) out on dant. Still, takes a minute or two to bring them down, and 30 seconds to heal up.

you can go alone, but it takes a long time to kill one beastie and if more than one aggroes you are in trouble. i was in a group with a dark jedi knight last night and we could destroy an entire lair in 1-2 minutes and got anywhere from 150k-200k XP per lair.

on dant, any type of bols work excellently because they do not all aggro you when you attack one and are relatively easy to kill. powerboost+center of being=deadly combo

group of 8 and grab missions for lvl 80-82 lesser bols(serious) or seething bols they don't group aggro and if 8 guys drop in 5 secs for 10-13k xp depending on lvl

I also find them to have least chance of being buggy with MOB's under mission lvl

I had the same prob on grinding MS, my dmg sucked. I finally broke down and got a scythe sword and it made it a little better but hang in there! Once you get MS and a good hammer it is all worth it Also I did faction missions to solo grind, not sure how fast this is compared to other methods but it made me alot of money and the yellow npc mobs droped easy and gave me almost max xp once I got above CL 65.

You don't say what boxes you have in swords, but as been stated before - and specially if you are starting out ...group group group

A large group, CoB, and armor break are my friends. Use CoB or adv CoB justb4 battle, try to taunt one from max distance, first hit should be armor break then spam critical strike and/or other choice attack till the baddy goes down. I find the critters go down real quick after using armor break in a large group and with CoBand another melee prof under mybelti rarely take much damage. A good rifleman and combat med will have you rolling through critters and xp in no time. A side note if applicable, power boost works well too
