Thread: Samarai sword fighting

I try to have a samurai look and feel to my character. I was a Master Swordsman and Master Fencer, but now msword, mpike, andtka. As a samurai I thinkyou shouldbe a well rounded melee fighter. I think the power hammer and other two handed weapons are morebarbarian style and fencer's stun baton is not very samurai either. As far a the finess a samurai would have I agree that fencer is better. Swords do more damage then fencer and you get the title of warrior. Wearing RIS armoralso givesyou a little more samurai look.

IMO, RIS armor looks the most "samurai"-ish of all the armors.
But what you could also do is just get TKM, then just find good clothes that lets your character "look" like a samurai, and rely on good BE made clothes for tweakage

Yes, I agree that the RIS armor does mostly resemble that worn by the Samaurais, but what about the fighting style of the fencer and swordsman. If you also take that into account, is the profession of fencer not more like the art of samaurai sword fighting that the prof of swordsman?

Also, can Fencer's not wear RIS Armor???
.... and unfortunately I have not been able to find any of the RIS armor after several weeks of searching diligently (Tarquinas).

Fencers, Swordsmen, and Pikemen all wear the same armor.

Under the new CU system, which melee profession is more in keeping with the samarai warrior style of sword fighting, Swordsman or Fencer? Of course the samari sword is a two handed weapon, but the fencer template seems to posses more of the finess that one would imagine in a samaria style of sword fighting. Seems the swg swordsman templated is more similar to a big gladiator/barbarian battle axe wielding type of melee. What are your thoughts/comments?
