Thread: Low level swordsman problems

Hi, I recently just picked up SWG again, I originally played in the Beta & a few months afterward. I'm looking, as a lot of people are, to become force sensitive. I've done some research and I'm going with the Swordsman/Doctor path. Right now I'm halfway to novice swordsman, and the grind just getting to that seems horrible. My character is level "10" and all I can find around Corellia are a bunch of scattered level 4-5's and the random good xp (gurrcats) which are level 8. Prior to being level 10ish, I found some "constant respawn" areas around coronet of level 4 meatlumps... when I looted one of their corpses, another one spawned in their place. Something like this would be great if anyone knows of something similar around level 10. I have a pretty good sword for my skill, doing 55dps. However, I have 1 huge problem... every type of armor I've tried to buy, I can't wear it, no matter what it is. So I've been fighting everything naked. So if anyone could help me answer these 2 questions it would be much appreciated.

-Where is a good place to grind as a low level swordsman? (as precise as possible)
-Is there any wearable armor available to me at this point? If so, what kind?

Thanks,
-Bryan

The best way to level is to group hunt, even a group of 2 can have a big difference if the other member is cl 70-80. Let the higher ranked cl member/s tank for you and you attack where you can but don't do area attacks, they will make you unpopular in groups very quickly. I personally like hunting Malkloc's on Dathomir, they aren't to aggresive and give a reasonable amount of xp. I also like hunting on Endor, but that can be tough, so you must be prepared with foodand drinkand in a group if you are lower than cl 54. If you are on the Bloodfin serversee if iycan is online (a close associate of minehe's always up for a hunt and needs the xp.

A Novice Swordsman can wear Battle Armor but you will have a reduction in your abilities while wearing the armor if your mitigation rating is lower than 100%, in theory at Master Swordsman you can wear Battle Armor unhindered although I seem to get a slight hinderance on a helm but nothing else. The armor mitigation value determines how much of a hinderance armor is when you wear it and these negative modifiers can be seen when you wear, then examinethepiece of armor. I wouldn't bother with armor and instead I opt for this MSwords/TKA 2/4/4/0/Doc 4/0/0/0 with defense bio clothing, but if you like armor then padded is a nice general purpose Battle Armor.

You aren't eligible to wear armor until you get Novice of an Elite Prof.
