The meditation mod doesn't really matter, but the weapon mods are very disturbing, the TKAs get about double the amount of accuracy, a little more speed, and better toughness. The extra unarmed damage doesn't really count. It still is tons better than what we get.

wel the point that they have to use their hands and only have 1 choice of weapon i think would weight the favor but i would think seeing as we weild swords we should have some sort of bonus higher then theirsto reflect blocks/parrys and the such

With the exception of the items like unarmed accuracy, unarmed damage, etc that we as swordsmen wouldn't use anyway, many of the skills are ones that you can gain if you want them. AND they stack with what you already have.

Beware the temptation to look at another profession and say "Hey, they get 25 of those and I get only 10." This is not a class based game. Here, you can have those skills too if you want them and end up with 35 of whatever.

not fair!!

i think TKA is dev's golden boy!

they always have better in everything, even name.

did u notice, all other elite proffessions only have apprentice, or novice something,

but TK have special one (Teras Kasi Student)

maybe one of the Head dev really like to be a Monk, and put it in the TKA tree!!

N E R F THE TERAS KASI!!!!

Wow, interesting idea. I wonder how tough this character would be and if you could get by fighting hard creatures solo without some sort of healing.

oh btw... i dueled a TKA/master brawler yesterday..

and he's not even master TKA yet i believe..

my stats: sword offense 1, tech 4, defense 4, finesse 2, with extra +20 melee defense from rifleman tree...

my sword: 63-233/2.0... not too shabby.. i can kill biznatch in 30 secs or less... with berserk..

soooo i dueled this unarmed guy... he won't use knockdown he said.. okay..

boom, warcry.. i'm standing like a statue, 1200 damage. i'm dead... oh and the one hit i got in (sweep) did 89 damage to him...

instead of the usual 400 or so

so he told me to do my best attack (headhit3)... which usually do 1500 to pistoleer... boom. 500 damage..

we dueled no specials.. i do 90 damage average to him.. and dead within seconds.. (he didn't use his vibro)

we dueled again.. i use berserk, he said he'll use vibro...

he forgot to equip the vibro, i took down 1/3 of his life before i was dead again..

anyone see a problem with this?

their weapon selection sux? err.. okay.. that guy kicked my ass without using any skills (so master brawler didn't help much) and without using any weapon.... =) .. oh we both have no armor on.

I agree that the TKA are super strong (Seen one take on a rancor solo!) and it seems like they are the second best (Jedi being first beacuse of the ligthsaber, but hey! No one has that yet) And all we get is a damned sword. SURE, we have the POSSIBLITY of killing things super fast... but the TKA is even better at it!

Whats with that? We take nearly four times as long to get to master as they would, and we get jack in return.

I think all melee classes should get a large bounus to defense, and range defense while weilding the weapon of their class (So that the uber warrior of master tka, fencer, sword wouldn't be so amazing, but would make each class better.)

The Uber Warrior (I called it the Batosai(SP)[Japanese for Man-Slayer] Would be three classes above, but since all the bonuses stack, it would be near unstopable, with more ranged defense, short of a bounty hunters.

{Rehased from the Orginal Post}

""A while back, Jabbu_K had the idea of the semi-getto Jedi (pardon the phrase if you will) And I really enjoyed the idea. I check the Allakhazam site of SWG and did some number cunching... The form is pure brawler... not that I think you'll need much else. It throws together Teras Kasi, Swordsman, and Fencer Masteries... the outcome will boggle you mind... (Haven't tested out the stats on a full blow bounty hunter at the moment.. so i'd love some one to come up with the stats for that.)

Skill Modifiers:

  • Alertness: +10
  • Dodge: +25
  • Counterattack:+25
  • Twohanded: Accuracy: +40, Speed: +50 (maybe 60, found a +10 under TKA for it) Toughness: +12
  • Onehanded: Accuracy: +40, Speed: +65, Toughness: +12
  • Unarmed: Accuracy: +105,Toughnness: +22, Speed: +60, Damage: +120 (ouch anyone?)

  • Meditation: +85 (Since you can heal wounds this way, why take up medic?)
  • Combat Equallibrium: +85 (Like the Zabrak skill maybe?)
  • (Brace yourself) Defense: VS Blind: +40, VS Dizzy: +45, VS Intimidate: +40, VS Knockdown: +95 (Yeah, I know what you're thinking), VS Posture Change: +70, VS Stun: +45.
  • Melee Defense: +74
  • Ranged Defense: +64

Not to mention all the skills/abilities that come with the mastering of all three elite professions.""
