Hi, I have a powerhammer on Bria and a good 2 handed curved sword. I see that they're both Ap2 from my testing. But, when they're ap2, are they always going to hit for Ap2 dmg? By that I mean, factor in all the armor rating/defensive %, and it'll always be ap2 dmg right? If that's the case, how come the 2handed curved sword doesn't always hit Ap2 dmg. I was testing on horned krevels or whatever for a while. The 2handed didn't always hit for ap2 dmg, sometimes it would hit for ap0 dmg. But, the Power hammer seemed to always hit for Ap2 dmg.

What I'm asking is, do Ap2 weapons always hit for ap2 after you factor in the junk, or does it sometimes hit for ap2, and sometimes ap0? If so, then the 2handed curved sword isn't truly Ap2, because it didn't always hit for ap2 dmg. Correct me if I'm wrong please. Just curious to see which weapon is actually better. The health cost on the PH isn't too bad. I do 2handhit3 for 181 health, and with my curved it's 165 I believe. So not too bad there I guess considering my PH's health cost is 111 and the 2 handed is 67.

just double checked my findings out again with more killing. The powerhammer does always hit for AP2 no matter what. After you calculate the other factors in, the dmg will be AP2. But, the 2handed curved sword on the other hand is random. Sometimes hitting for AP2, sometimes hitting for AP0. The AP2 dmg on the 2handed curved sword isn't 100%.

heya, i've realized this before, but ignored the low number cause its kinda rare (in my findings).. well not that rare.. but still its not like 50% of it were low...

the thing is, even when it hits for AP2, its not an exact percentage (for the sword).. sometimes it hits for 1.8x damage, sometimes 2.0.. sometimes 2.2...

maybe i'm just looking at the wrong numbers (everything was flying so fast).. but i don't think i did.. cause later i used one skill (sweep) and checked that.. (peace afterward)

anyone wanna shed more light into this?

Also, for those who think the Powerhammer is really that crappy. I'm hitting still with 2handhit3 2k dmg. The only thing that's bad is the attack speed which can be reduced with slicing. So, it's not really that bad I guess. Mine's only 91-221 dmg btw. My 2handed curved is 69-259 dmg and with 2handhit3 I hit 2.5k with that.

yeah, I don't know why either. But the 2handed isn't always hitting for Ap2, while the power hammer always hits for ap2.

Have you guys/gals looked at the mob and seen what their kinetic and blast resists are? I'm sure that's where the differences are.

Of couse, we don't know about the creatures con (works to absorb damage from melee and some ranged)

Like I said before, it was a Horned krevol or whatever. 5% both kinetic and blast. Also, I tested on numerous mobs. Peko peko's, trade federation people. The trade federation people had no armor and no protection. I looked into their defenses before I made my testing.
