Thread: This char rocks at PvE but what to hunt for loot?

Hi,
I almost finished my new char (soon MHS) and I can solomany creatures .
Killed a lot of nightsisters at several POIs on Dathomir even some with about 50k ham but all I got in 6 hours was one piece of heavy duty leather 
Also killed Lord Nyax twice but he was emty.
The respawn rate of nighstisters is so bloody slow!
I dont't know much about loot drops because I have a crafter-char on another server and this one is new...
I look for skilltapes and other rare drops - where else shoud I hunt?
Any hints are appreciated

Giant dune kimo in the odd chance a scale will drop, you'll make atleast 2 million off it, depending on your server...up to 5. You should be able to solo them. They have medium armor, and 60-70k ham, and I believe 45% blast/kinetic resistances. Just takes a while, like any mob.
Or you can head to the geo cave. I went 2 nights ago for the first time and slaughtered anything that got in my way for about an hour. Beeing my first time there, I didnt know crazed geo's dropped the best loot, so I didnt get much. Make sure you have some good armor (I had 69% ubese, so I was getting hit for 300-800 from the crazed geos and droidekas) I died when my brandy wore off and I got **edit** for 800 
If anyone else has suggestions, im going to give it a try. I havent really hunted much "high end" content yet, but would love to get my hands on some nice skill tapes or other high end loot.

krayts-pearls are nice. but only if you can solo them (like me).

Don't those things put serious diseases on ya?
Just curious how anyone would solo one without doc skills

Plan on killing thousands of nightsisters or similar mobs to get reasonable loot, atleast that's how it's gone for me so far. I've killed over 2k nightsister looting about 4 seas(2 useless, the other 2 meh). The drop rate can sometimes be horrid, and other times 3 in a row. Anything with over 10k ham is fair game for decent loot, so you just need to camp/kill all that you can find and hope you get lucky.

Yeah I forgot to mention giant dune kimos can disease/stun/dizzy/blind/knockdown. Also they have an attack that does about 500 instant wounds. Really not for the new swordsman. Your best bet is to pair up with a master rifleman or combat medic to take out uber mobs.

nah those kimo's arent that tough; I got buffed and drunk (brandy) and went and killed that one in the kimo town just to prove I could
and the kicker? IM A WOOKIEE (no armor...yet)
I have to admit though that I'm 4-4-0-0 medic, too, and it cost me a LOT of stims

I took on a kimo as a TKM(wookie) MCH with another MCH pistoleer. Buffed.
That thing diseased my pets so bad it incapped them.
Then it did the same to me, and him.
Not sure what type of kimo it was but I still haven't heard any way here, to avoid getting diseased/poisned without being/having a doc with you.

Well as far as I can tell, only the dune kimos disease. I killed about 20 kimo/giant kimos today and didnt get diseased once. The first giant dune kimo hit me for 500 acount wounds though...

I am a MHS and a 2,2,4,4 Combat medic and i can solo many of the high up mobs, i stick to killing crazed geos at about 7 at a time when alone in the lab, get buffed, wear my 37% stun armor, drink brandy, and use area attack 3 as fast as i can with powerhammer or maybe scythe depending on how much mind i have sense scythe uses more mind. Loot as much as i can and work to merc room. Last night i got a DXR-6 rifle and a Sonic Pistol Schematic so is a nice way to get some worthy loot.

Loot in this game is messed up... seriously messed up. Killing 10's of elders (even axkva) only getting crap lances, rebel order discsor locked container (with crap in it). Looting tables on high level mobs are poluted with useless junk like heavy duty leather, discs and whatnot. Good loot is rare in this game

I will check out the geo-dungeon soon.
I almost soloed a NS elder but it pwned me when it was at 50% health because all my brandy wore off. But I was not even master. Now I am Master and working on other professions for defense stacking.
Best loot I got so far: 8 identical heavy duty clasps, and a lance with >100 mind poison dot.

Actually, since the last patch, NS's have been dropping loot left and right. Much higher rate than before. Got 3 NS lances, one a double DOT, alot of heavy leather, and some armor segments this afternoon.
