I am not grinding Swordsman, I just want to enjoy it while I find the time and XP to put into it. However, i want to be really good as soon as I can without being master so I want to know what to train in first?
I just picked the skill up, its my first combat skill (normaly a crafter) and I am novice, with enough XP to train in my first box.
What do you all advise? What did you learn to be the strongest tree to climb first?
Techniques, Offense or Defense??
Thanks

I went up defenses first. With Damage Litigation and all of the defense on that branch, it really helped me tank.
Of course, I'm also Master Rifleman, so have +60 Melee Damage, so that helps too.
I'm now going up the speed branch so I can kill things faster.

You'll want to get the speed and once you get Head Hit 3 you'll feel like superwoman
At least that's when it got fun for me.

for your first box in Swordsman, I suggest taking Techniques 1 (for head hit 2)if youlevel by killingthings one at a time, or Defense 1 (for spin attack 2) if you want to get in the middle of a bunch of thingsand attack them all at once
after that, Techniques all the way
