im starting this thread to clear up a common misconception about the place of teras kasi in the game, and what it means for your character.
its easy to view the game as this profession vs. that profession, and are they equivalent or not, etc.... but what this line of thinking is leaving out is that with 250sp to deal with, strict profession vs. profession analysis cant really address the way the game is actually played.
for example, it is very popular to get mad at the teras kasi profession for being too good compared with other melee professions. while there are many valid arguments on BOTH sides of this issue, one thing which i rarely see mentioned is that any of the particular benefits of teras kasi (meditation line, kd/dizzy, high defenses) are available to supplement any other melee prof for a mere 34spfor the first line, and 14sp after that! thats right- powerboost, cure disease/poison, wound removal, force of will.... any other melee profession can have these to go with their own unique skills forthe relativelyinsignificant investment of 34sp.a ranged profession can do it with 49sp. and then 14sp for each subsequent line they may desire.
some see the relative ease of obtaining such a powerful set of skills as a bad thing, but i for one think it is the main reason that tk is NOT overpowered. skills in this game are meant to be dabbled. you are supposed to have access to unique and varied skills to create the character of your choice. need some extra defenses for your pikeman, carbineer, rifleman, or whatever? then pick up the line of teras kasi that will give you a ton of defenses. like the benefits of meditation? add them to your own unique template!
if you want to be the best that you can be in combat, you have to invest the sp where you think it helps the most, and with 250sp available, you can be so much more than anyone profession (okay, maybe not mbh, but thats its own issue). those who are the best in pvp arent just any one profession. in fact they may have only one elite mastery, yet have dabbled in many skills to create a pvp powerhouse. this is the way a skill point system is going to play out. instead of resisting it, get with the program and think outside the box!

I like TKA 4004 and a little medic for heals...
Im loving my riffleman/Mswordsman TKA medic combo.... ive been doing really well in PvP and PvE.
Meditation 4 is my favorite of all time though.... IT HEALS ALL WOUNDS and lets you get up from being incapped.... witch is GREAT for really close fights...

have you not masterd brawler and/or marksman to go with your rifleman/Mswordsman template?
I have master rifleman with master marksman and master swordsman... but been wondering to drop the marksman, but will it effect my rifleusing abilitys to harshly?

@ nightsun
It will slow down your attackspeed because you wont hit +100 riflespeed anymore.
Get yourself some +riflespeed clothing- or armor-attachments and you can go for meditation.

I was wondering what kind of mind buffs come with meditation 4 in the TKA tree? Also does that include secondary stats?

You only get a mind buff from using POWER BOOST. You get 1/2 of your mind pool added to your PRIMARY stats... So if you have 1100 mind and use power boost...
You get
+550 health
+550 action
+550 mind ---Theres your mind buff
