Thread: Anyone killed a peko peko albatross?

Just wondering how a MHS would fare up against one of these? I'm about to go try but i've never fought one.
I've read on swgcreatures.com that they have 90000 ham but here on the boards people say around 20k. A weakness to blast, if I can keep myself healed and use brandy I think I should be alright. Buffs and 70% comp also.

It will be hard to stay in range of one. They move really fast.

Yeh the only problem u'll have is keeping it in range, it moves around all the time and quickly.
You need good KD - Dizzy defences to.

Okay, I guess it's worth a try. But yeah it is frustrating chasing down the regulars when they move.

before the bleed nerf i was killing them without armor or buffs. and you're hearing wrong about 20k, if memory serves they have a 75k ham or so.

Last time Naboo had a really good avian meat supply I solo'ed albatrosses for meat (a lot more fun than grinding Kaadu missions). With doc buffs, brandy and some 60% kinetic ubese I was able to do this no prob (although I also have speed tapes which help a lot). One spawn spot will often net you 5+ albatrosses.
This was also back when intimidate was not working at all on TC (I spammed about 80 intimidates to start off a fight and not one landed) and I have a lot better armor now. The one that thing that is a big pain is that they they status attack like crazy. You might want to concentrate on defense when you are intimidated/stun'ed and wait for intimidate to go down. The albatrosses are a big pain when they run. I would just let them run and then wait for them to come back to me. This would work a lot of the time although sometimes I had to chase them. One time when chasing a crowd of ST's got involved and killed the bird while it was out of range (so not loot). Stupid ST's.
