its an awesome combination as soon as you figure it out... duel a friend and see what effect every shot has, the combine it with the swordsman, apply it to a macro and your set.. i just gave up that proff but it served me welll, i killed many things with it

Im loving it.... Ive been doing great in PVE & PVP. Having a ranged dizzy and melee posture changes really work well.
And i can hit the mindpool at any range

I am thinking of picking up rifleman to go along with Master Swordsman, and I am wondering if any of you have that template. If you do, how is it? Would you recommend it? I don't do much PvP...primarily PvE, but if I pick up rifleman that might change. Your thoughts?

I think the template sucks actually! It took me a whopping 15 minutes to solo a Nightsister Elder!

It sucks in PvP too. After holding Anchorhead for a mere two hours, my buffs ran out and 3 rebels killed me
Master Brawler/Master Sharpshooter/Master Swordsman is one of thebest all-around templates in the game. Let the nerf cries begin!

Thanks to all of you for your input.

Don't worry about Cakins. He is the official TKA troll. He got tired of trolling our boards, so he probably decided to bash a few others to fill his time.

I don't know Cakins, but you need to reread his post. That was sarcasm (i.e., humor) as I read it. Read his last sentence and his signature. He is complimenting the build, using sarcasm to make his point. I found it funny, anyway.

I have that build (i.e., Master of both), plus Master Brawler. I love it and have not even bothered opening a holo because I have no intention of giving it up anytime soon.
For PvE, it is an awesome combo. Buffed and armored (evenamoderate build like Iuse), a Master Swordsman (espeically with Master Brawler as well) is a fearsome thing in PvE. Add Master Rifleman, and you have every damage type except electrical and heat. You can start out at range, picking their mind off as they close to melee range, then switch to Hammer, 2H Curved, or Scythe and finish them off. Or, you can beat the crap out of their mind up close and not have to wear out your Nikes when they run. Grab a rifle and finish them off.
For PvP, you are not going to be as defensively oriented as other builds, but you can do quite well here because it is one of the most offensively oriented builds in the game. High damage weapons from both ranged and melee. You have to play a little smarter here to avoid some of the defensive weaknesses, but you can more than hold your own if you do.
