Personally I'd use a 2handed Curved Sword instead of the hammer for now since hammers have such bad accuracy and are so slow

I regularly do Janta and Mokk missions unarmored. I'm a master though, and I have Fencer 4/0/0/0, so that probably helps. But, you should at least be able to do the 10k Piket missions. Probably the 17k Piket missions too. And you should try to do Janta and Mokk missions. I would not be surprised at all if you could do them. Also, you don't really need great armor. You can use some crappy Ubese or even Chitin, and it'll help quite a bit. And you didn't mention brandy, which you'd better be using, unless you have a pet dancer and musician.

You should be able to do quenker missions at novice unarmored. I was able to do them, but you will have downtime from resting.

I have a very newby character going right now on the Shadowfire server. He just recently became a Novice Swordsman. I read various posts on where to level quick and get the most money. Most people say Dantooine. But what I'd like to know is if my character can lasts using power hammer, spin attack 2, no armor on (cant afford really good kind), but with doctor buffs. Is it possible to level up swordsman still?
If not, can you recommend any places I can go to get decent exp or items I need to buy so I can level in dant correctly.

Take whatever missions you can on a non adventure planet first. You should be able to get at least 3k-4k missions, then save your cash for a suit of armor. Once you get a bit higher speed mods and at least 50% kinetic armor then try getting in a solo group or something on dant.

This is indeed possible, yet you have to be very careful of how many mobs you take on at a time. Things will be a WHOLE lot easier w/ nice armor, so grinding missions for armor money is a good investment. I suggest pulling just a few mobs of each type and see how much they damage you, that way you can get a feel for your strengths in combat. Having some medic skills also helps. Make sure you are maxed on mind with brandy and canapes, or possibly ahrisa. With no mind cost to specials you can spam them and heal without that hefty mind hit a heal usually takes. Hope that helps.

The thing I hate is that I'm not making 3-4k missions atm. I'am pulling out 1k missions from the terminal still. Either its my power hammer is weak. Or things changed since I last played this game. But all in all. THanks for your help.

i recently started a swordsmen alt on a new server and today I have just it 4444 (now I have buy the aprentice exp), I did it in about 4 days for 3-5 hrs daily. I started by doing all of the newbie profession quests for 2k each so after marksmen, brawler, medic and entertainer I had about 8k creds which I used to buy a bazaar 2handed sword. Then I ran 1k coronet credits and to make a long story short, I had the same problem when I first went to dant and tried to level and then I bought a 5k cred R5 droid from the bazaar and grouped with it, after that i was about to get 5k quenker missions that I used until I was able to afford a scythe, after I got a scythe I switched to piket missions. Anyway Im rambling, buy a droid and try to group with it, some advice id give you is to get mabari armor if you can use it, becuause although it is poor in resists it still has ar1 and it is very cheap and low encum, and also get buffs, and finall get brandy, after getting these i was able to spam headhit 1, making leveling alot easier.

well I personally like pulling the 5900 - 6k torton missions on talus. but i have to equip my pistol to get them, guess being master pistoleer is good for getting better missions than my sword is for now.
the tortons are easily wiped out with mindhit2. or baz nitches on dathomir they die well also.
I have to say its funny how man people i see giving tips about getting swordsman skills and exp all saying get a good speed sliced PH or such and a good set of composite armor.
lmao, but you do know alot of other players did decide to go with the wookiee race and since i havent actually given in and bought this ugly wookiee armor, tips from players that dont use armor would be appreciated.
I must give some salutes to swordsman though, i really liked the ability to go out and take on an ancient bull rancor tonight. my pistoleer couldnt solo them so it was fun tough but fun. i think i need better weapons but im just starting out in swordsman this week so dont know who sells the best on intrepid yet.

You can definitely do missions on Dantooine with doctor buffs and no armor. But I would recommend notusing a power hammer just yet. The accuracy on it is kinda bad at novice and you don't have any good speed skills yet. I would say get yourself a nice speed sliced two-hand curved sword and stick to that till you get a few boxes in Swordsman. With that and spin-attack 1 you'll go through those quenkers missionspretty fast.
