As a new master swordsman who has yet to find any speed enhancing attachments,
I am interested in learning what the speed is of the fastest 2h curved sword and power hammer that i can expect to find.
Can you experienced swordsman let me know of what the best speed you have seen on these weapons?
My current (fastest) 2hSword is 1.8speed and my (fastest) PH is 3.6
Thanks

It's really simple man, a standard PH is like.. what, 5.2 - 5.3 speed ?
30% speed slice -> your PH (3.6)
35% speed slice -> 3.3 speed
Run some numbers, it's not that hard

Ok. First off, a weaponsmith can't experiment speed and damage separately. They go hand in hand. When you make something fatser, it also starts to hit harder.
Good 2 hand curved swords run at 2.7-2.5. Powerhammers typically run 5.3-5.4 when experimented out to 96-99%. Scythes will have 2.8-2.5 speed.
All of these numbers are unsliced numbers and nt looking at some of the cores that drop in the geno lab. Some of them get to -.8 or so and can make a much faster hammer or sword. Typically another -.25 off of the above speeds.
Best effort slice from a master smuggler os going to be 45%. Of course, thats a one in a thousand if not more.

Yeah, the attitude wasn't really necessary since you did state you were new to master swordsman. Unless the weaponsmith puts all his points into speed before damage you won't find one much faster than what you have. Acklay phs have a speed of like 6, I think, so they'll be a whole lot slower which isn't what you'd want if you're all about speed. I don't know about curved swords but scythes usually start with 3.6 speed and with a good speed slice (it feels weird for me to use good and speed slice together like that) you can get it to around 2.5 speed. There's a post stickied to the top with a site that tells you how fast you'll hit with each specialwhen you give it your speed mod and the speed of your weapon. You don't really needthe uber fastest weapon just one that will allow you to speed cap.

My apologies to the poster of the thread if my attitude offended you
... I wasn'taiming for that, butyou mentioned your hammer and swordwere xx speed, so I assumed you already looked around at how 2h weapons look like (stats I mean).

My alt is a master weapon smith on Gorath. And with good resources and good experimentation on the damage. I put out on average speed 5.5 power hammers. That is usually as low as it goes with only using resources and nothing like aklay bones. 2handed curves i think I get to around 2.5 - 2.3 before the speed stops going down and I still have points left to experiment with. But I just harvested better Iron so I will be able to update the stats soon. Hope this is helpfull.

What I've got is here
- 206-529 @ 4.4 Acklay Power Hammer (on the wall)
- 265-682 @ 6.0 Acklay Power Hammer (using it now)
- 131-454 @ 3.6 normal Power Hammer (on the wall)
- 197-325 @ 1.8 Scythe (using it now)
- 246-418 @ 2.6 Scythe (on the wall)
I also got some other 2h swords including Grooved one, but I never use them..
I don't know if this is the info you were looking for.

all of the posts have been very helpful, and i didnt know that dmg or speed could not be experimented seperately
tell me this (and i promise i will quit being an annoying noob) do all of you guyshave +20 speed tapes so that you all swing the high dmg weapons every 1 second?
