I have 80% energy/78% kinetic/66% base (each peace sliced to around 77-80% base) and I live through the corvette without much prob.

anyways, as a swordsman you should be finding one of your more defensively blessed friends to be tanking a SBD. just sit back a bit and pound away on the sucker.

Almost Master Swordsman here, Im finding it that im getting shreaded by blaster fire all the time. Swordsman is my only combat prof. I just recently went on the corvette and got nailed by a SBD with 4-6 shots. 
I know they are tough but damm! Any insight or opinions on how to get totally maxed up on energy protection (including what % to settle for on composite) is greatly apprecitated.

80% kinergy compo should be more than enought, if you are still having problems try synth+psg...allthought sbd's will tear your psg apart in few shots
