Thread: Soloing Elders is still posible!

Its still very posible to solo elders i did 3 yesterday my self!
The only problem lies in soloing one with a stunstaf! They hit hard!!! If you find one of those there is only to do! RUUUUN
Otherways here is a small guide to solo elders!
1 first of all Master swordsman is needed or nearly master 
2 a side combat profession for defence is very good.
3 some medic (i was 0-0-0-0) its always nice for some healing
4 good comp armor with 80 % kinetic is a MUST
5 buff is also must, 2200+ buff and if posible a mind buff (musican is most important)
now your rdy for soloing your elder
Go to dath and to NS stronghold and find an elder try get only one NS at the time, as more hit harder and there is a higher risk that one has a stun weapon!

use intimidate 10 times or more. Then its time for mindhit2 and headhit3 Just keep the elder under intimidation and then you sould be able to kill it

an other good thing to have is a BE shirt with intimidation and speed tapes for 2 handed to max your speed and a ackley power hammmer will do it a lot faster!

Yes, yes, we all know it's possible. If the **edit** doesn't dispawn before you kill her...grrr.
I am only M.Swords, M.Brawler, TKA 2/0/0/1, and Fencer 0/2/0/0 (template not done) and I can do it.

heh i have tryed that as well! that sux when you get em down to 50k mind and they despawn!
An other think that sux is if an other group of NS elders and protectors spawn intop of you! Then your dead in about 10 sec

OK, I must be doing something wrong, because I am unable to solo elders. The first time I tried... stun baton. Ok, heal and buff up... then back to find another elder. This time I brought a psg. I got the elder down to about halfway, and poof, disappeared. Alright, this blows, but hey, still got my buffs. Find one more, and she takes me down. What I noticed was about halfway thru the fight, she started really smashing my mind bar.
So, I think that's where most of my problem is. I double dose brandy and triple dose ahrisa for things like this, and it usually is more than enough... but not here. Any pointers?

I heard there was a way to get both dodge and block to work in a fight, anyone know how to do this?

sounds like your helm is low on cond... try get a new helm! the cond of the armor should be above 20k otherwise you will take larger hits! So a new helm/armor sould do the trick

Yeah i got owned by a stun baton elder my first one...was like 1 hit mind shot...dead

make 2 macros for your brandy and ahrisa. I have my brandy on a 15 minute cycle, so I'm always double dipped, and more often than not, triple. At this point, you only NEED one ahrisa, so cycle it on a 25 minute timer, so you'll be double dipped, with the ability to pop a canape or two in case of emergencies.

You guys must have gotten lucky and not been fighting the Elders that are using Lightsaber specials with insane damage modifiers.
I consider myself very experienced at PvE, PvP and Nightsister hunting. As a master swordsman/master doc Elders literally own me solo. It's fine for a while...then all of a sudden they do 2 uber attacks or a force choke and you're dead.
So....how do you counter them doing force choke or hitting you for 1k+ dmg per attack?

yes i have tryed that one hit one kill from a elder! that sux! but if you want good loot you have to be willing to die some times

Well just heal you self but i have only tryed the NS to make a attack on 600 max(when they dont have stunstiks). So you need a lot of healing too
