I am currently M Swords, M Fencer but need to drop one to pick up other skills. My question is, why should i keep M Swords over Fencer? Obviously this board favors Swords, and i think i do too, but what makes it better? I never PvP, so i dont factor in that part of it. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Swords.

Keep yer state defences and dodge if you like, but obviously swords do the most damage.

Finnahen.....last one off the server, please turn off the lights...

If you don't PvP, fencer stinks, stick with swords. Fencer has high defenses but low damage output so just skip it for PvE.

fencer pros: Being spd-capped as m-brawler/fencer without ANY tapes, good melee and ranged defense, nice state defense

fencer cons: Only 1 crapy AP1 Weapon and no AP2/3, most high end mobs have high resistance to kinetic/stun and AR2/3, low toughness(32/37 depends if m-brawler or not)

swords pros: AP2 weapons, blast as second damage type, dealing high amounts of damage, good mind/area attacks, second highest toughness(43/48)

swords cons: onlyspd.-capped as m-brawler/swords with spd-sliced weapons, low defense

drop fencer and go swordsman doc. Best PvE template out there

and the rituals that fade away, and the roses that cease to be laid, and it's clear to me that we're one foot in a very shallow grave

Indeed, if you are going to mainly PvM stay in swordsman..why? Well swordsman has lots of AP2 weapon(around 7 i think) and fencer has none, swordsman has mind attacks which is great for PvM and PvP too and swordsman has loads of area attacks.
