Thread: A quick krayt dragon question, plz help a N00B swordsman

Hi everyone,
I'm kidna new at this swordsman gig and i have a couple of questions
My template is Master Rifle/Master Swords, 4/0/0/4 TK and Medic 0/0/1/0
I should be able to solo one right???
i just got slapped by a canyon krayt.....
plz advise,
what attack should I use??
What armor should i wear??
What foods and drinks should i take??
and can a swordsman also take on canyon krayts or just juvi's and regular onces????

im also working on a new template. ( i completely erased my previous template and restarteded due to boredome and the desire to re grind) and i plan on going master swords, master rifleman, some pikeman, some medic, and other things.
but yes, with good armor (either 75% ubese, or 80-90% kinetic composite armor are the best iv found so far, but a bit pricey of ur just starting)
some good vasarian brandy (nothing below 400 for 40 minutes) some good doc buffs, around 2300+ are good, maybe even some entertainer buffs for focus and will power, and some ahrisa (it ups your focus by another 350-400, itll help mostly with the rifleman ham cost specials) and i guarantee youll take any krayt you come across, juvy or canyon.
all those supplies may cost alot, but after u mast rifleman or swordsman, u can take janta/mokk/kunga missions or rancor missions, for atleast 28k per mission (i just got done running 2 janta 31k creidt missions) and it took be about 35 minutes to get em. it took me longer cuzz im only 0-4-1-3 swordsman, some marksman, and 2-3-1-2 pikeman and some other minor things like scout.
not sure about rifleman, but the best movies to use for swords are the head hits, and if ur surrounded, the spin attacks.
all of these foods will help a tremendous amount, the brandy will soup up your focus will power and mind, the ahrisa will raise ur focus even more to let your mind heal quicker after a move is used, doctar buffs then increase it even MORE. after doctar buffs, ahrisa and good brandy, i had my mind into the 3000 range, with around 2k focus

Get yourself Doc-Buffs, Entertainer Mindbuffs. Pop in 1xSynthiSteak, 1x CitrusSnowCake, 1x Ashira and 2 Brandies....Running CoB the whole fight and intimidate the krayt every 30-45sec. IMO a comp-armor is not needed....i can do it as a wookiee withour crapywook-armor witch has only 61% kinetic....if u are not speed-capped(u need a SEA with +20 for "2-hand speed"to be that) use a weapon with low speed and some speed/min-dmg power-ups on it....

Thanks everyone for ur pointers!
But after reading them it still puzzles me why i got slapped.... I had 2000/2100docbuffs on all stats, a musician buff, brandy, canape and a 75% ubese armorset on.... i still got slapped pretty quickly by the canyon krayt...
now i have even less clue's to why i got slapped...... I'm just gonna go try again i think!
And plz if u have some more pointers or tips, keep em comming 
PS: is intimidate really that important to use???

oh yes, intimidate GREATLY lowers the damage the krayt will do to you.

well post the weapon u are using, if u havent. i always like t21s on krayts cuz of the heavy armor piercing, so maybe try that.
as far as taking damage, im kinda stumped on that. make sure none of ur armor needs to be repaired! look at all the pieces and make sure its still at the same kinetic rating u bought it at. also make sure u arent forgetting ur gloves or something. yes intim really helps u out. canyons shouldnt be any trouble for u tho, im really hoping u can figure this out cuz krayting is very very fun. get back to us with some info

Yes, you probably can, but it'll take some work. Just make sure the krayt is always intimidated of course and try not to get dizzy/kded and you should be ok

No you nor anyone alone should ever be able to tank a krayt dragon. It should kill you in one gulp. Or perhaps in one stomp. That and many other creatures should be able to do but are unable to atm.
Combat revamp please before I read another idiot post like this.
Makes me want to cry.

Problem mighthave been the ubese against a nselder ive heard a near full condition peice of ubese to break down in a matter if minutes or less.

Im a TKM, Master Brawler, Swordsman 0-2-2-4, Novice Fencer, and some misc scout and med.
The only Kryats i have fought are the ones that spawn for the scythe schematic quest, Canyon kryat i believe. 360k ham, heavy armor, and 60% resistances.
This is wearing 80% Kin composite, and 76% Kin ubese. I can stand there for a long time, with full buffs, mind and doc, with brandy and synthsteak. But i doubt i can solo(it would take an hour or more), with that armor the kryat is still doin around 100 dmg and lower, he has normal attack and area attack and some nice attack speed.
There are different types of kryats i believe, if there are some weaker ones, then they are more viable for solo.
Either way its about a 100k armor bill when you get back, that is if your armor repair tool thats 100% doesnt fail and your armor fall apart.
IMO, kryats are worthless other than to boost your ego. or deflate it.
