Now that my template is finished, MSM/MDOC, ive been thinking of getting some speed tapes (like eventually capping speed i guess)

But im still quite poor, so i was wondering what the best way for me to get more speed is ?

Just grind janta/mokk on dant over and over and over until i can afford some nice skill tapes ? get 8 low speed tapes and put em in my undershirt and bandoleer ? screw it and get another profession ? (lol, no i wont, swordman is neat) Kill the speed-tape mobs myself, hoping for the jackpot ?

If I am not mistaken it only counts the highest attachment of a certian type per piece of clothing/armor so it does not add. Your best bet would be to kill HIGH lvl mobs and hope for good drops or work ur butt off doing missions/buffing to get enough creds to buy the speed tapes.

2h speed tapes go for almost a million a point on my server now...just because swordsman has gotten so popular. I would suggest getting master brawler if you can, that +5 speed can definitely help

I have read that attatchments work like this.

The top skill on the attachment is the only one that effects your skill.

Example:

Armor Attatchment: Unarmed damage +4
Def. Vs Blind +8

You would only get the Unarmed dmg bonus, not the defense. (stupid i know, dunno who tested these before they put em in...)

Also bonus dont stack, you only get 1 skill bonus per item of clothing/armor. You cant put 3 unarmed damages into one piece of clothing/armor. You would waste the 2 latter ones you put in. (again with, who the hell tested this stuff)

So two unarmed +4 tapes in one piece of armor dont add up to +8, you only get the origial +4.

This is what i understand from what ive read.

Fact:
Highest value for a tape is +25. No one knows who drops what, seems to be random humanoids...higher the level, better the chance of higher tape...its one of the many mysteries of SWG.

lol so basically 4 sockets is useless, since only the first one works ?

who the heck decided that was a good idea ?!

4 sockets is fine. You just cant put the same type of enhancement in the same piece of armor.

you could put 4 different ones.

+4 2hand speed(individual enhancement)
+10 def vs stun(individual enhancement)
+6 unarmed speed(individual enhancement)
+15 Intimidate(individual enhancement)

and all of those would work,

But not
+4 2hand speed(individual enhancement)
+4 2hand speed(individual enhancement)
+4 2hand speed(individual enhancement)
+4 2hand speed(individual enhancement)

Nosgoth is wrong. It is the highest value mod which sticks, no matter the order listed. If both mods are the same value, the top listed one will stick. It the mod you want to stick is not the highest value one, it is still possible to get it to work, but you must use other attachments to cancel the mods you don't want out:

- If the mod you want to cancel out is ABOVE the one you want, you can drop an attachment with the same modof any value first, then your one.

- If it is BELOW the one you want, you must first drop in an attachment of equal or greater value to the one you are trying to cancel out.

For example, if you had a clothingattachment:

Foraging: 8

2H speed: 7

Alertness: 9

To get the 2H speed to stick, you need an item of clothing with 3 or more sockets. First drop in a separate attachment with Foraging: 1 or more, then another attachment with Alertness: 9 or more. Then finally this one, and the 2H speed will stick.

You only need to cancel out the other mods until the one you want is the highest one left.

huh?

How would this one work then?

2H speed +6
1H Accuracy +7

Are you saying I would have to drop on a 1H Accuracy +8 or higher and then this tape?

Wouldn't it make more sense in oder to get the above tape to stick to add a +5 or LOWER 1H Accuracy tape and then the one above? The thinking being that the item already has a +5 1H accuracy which cancels out the +7, and the +6 spd would stick.
