The toughest thing I've fought is a GDK. Those things have nasty disease. Even as a 4/4/4/0 doc I was having a lot of trouble handling it. If a couple of other people hadn't come along to help, it probably would've killed me.
Other than that, I've had no problems, though I haven't tried Krayt's yet.

Speed cap makes a pretty big difference in what you can solo too (well for me anyway, since I'm wook with no composite)
But anyhow pretty much everything in the game is soloable...

I agree. Everything I have encountered has been soloable expect those rare occasions when the MOB has 100% resists to kinetic and blast. That is when you just kindly walk on by.

i was with my guild and a neighboring guild, and 2 swordsman with compostite and buffs, alternating tanks, with heals now and then, were tanking the 1 million ham dark jedi masters. PERSONLY, im a 0444 swordsman, and i can tanke entire lairs of rancors, preety much anything i want . havent tried krayts, with good armor i can tank kimos, havent tried sbd or the dwb or anything like that yet.

Pretty much the only things that a single swordsman CANT solo are as follow:
1. Ancient Krayt - you can but its alot of running and re-applying mind bleed just takes too long
2. DJM - same reason as Krayt, plus the fact that there are always 30-40 people attacking one
3. Lord Nyax - He can be solo'ed just get annoying cause he never switches to melee.

The answer to this question is about to change drastically.
Most of you have probably never seen a Nightsister Elder wielding a Power Hammer or a Scythe with medium-armor piercing, and using force powers.
They used to, but in publish 4 or 5 (forget which) the devs broke NPC AI so that they all use unarmed melee only, and no longer use their abilties.
In this Thursday's hotfix, the Artificial Intelligence is apparently fixed, and we can expect the toughest creatures and NPC's in the game to actually be hard, if not impossible, to solo.
The down side? No more endless hours killing Elders for a chance at loot. The up-side? Swordsmen are among the best tanks in the game, with high toughnes and the ability to deal damage too, so expect teams of people to want you with them.
As it currently stands, its way too easy to kill the hardest stuff in the game - I can kill Elders without healing. That will change, and change hard. Now skill, how well you understand your profession, and team-play will matter once again. Doctors will also be valuable - Rez and in-the-field buffs will be in high demand for those times when it all goes haywire.
If you're a swordsman/doc, expect to have some great times!
