I always see folks using them. Yes I'm new to swords but I don't want to use anything that looks trekkie <I like the shows but not a trekkie> Are they a preferred weapon? Do we have any schimitars or 2 handed broadswords? Oh and why is a hammer <blunt weapon> under swords? Ha ha just thought I'd get all my thoughts out at once... But i must say, I've always been a carbineer <10 months> and at 1/3/1/1 swords now.....I am LOVING this profession way more than I ever did with carbines!!! Hope we get a sword with electric damage someday that has lightning corsing through the blade or something that looks cool animated. :-)

You are probably refering to the scythe. The cert for it is under Advanced Sword Finesse (xxx2).

Alot of people prefer them, mainly for PVP. They are EXTREMELYexpensive(roughly 600k+ on Bria) since the schematics are limited use and quite difficult to come by. For PVE most people stick with the power hammer because they are much less expensive and are cheap and easy to replace.
