Thread: Made Novice Swordsman...WOW...what a great class

I made my first novice swordsman today...WOW...what a great PVE class...I took out 4 reds all at once (which I never did before). Looking for a few tips.
1)What order to climb is best from your exp?
2)Is it better to use a higher DMG hamer or a faster hammer? IE..3.9spd VS 5.1 ..damage is about 200more on the slower one
3)Good place to hunt? I don't like crowds..I prefer to be alone when kicking some...you know.

faster the better, and go up technique tree b/c it gets you speed....try using two handed curved swords, really cheap and can be 1.7 speed with a good slice, plus like 247 dmg.
I killed quenkers on Dant
Join a solo group on dant, kill pikets/quenkers, anything like that, its at least 4k a kill

I don't care if there are 50thread about this already. I keep getting too many searches in progress...so I start a new one. If you take offence at that, then my friend you know where to go.

0010 first. there is debate after that. lots of swordpeople i know went up the speed line first. i had enough combat xp to get the third box so im not sure what to tell you. in my case i got the scythe and went 0010, then i went 4014, then i went up the speed line after that. the area attack in 0010 will make it easier to get xp and the area attack 3 in 4000 is extreme.

How incredibly original of you zzule. I haven't seen that line in at least 2 days.
But to set the record straight, I am not trolling. In fact, I post rather very infrequently. I just get sick of seeing the same questions over and over and over again, when its a simple matter of doing a search or at the very least, hitting the next page button a few times and scanning the posts of the last week or so to see if your question has been brought up.
In your case, it would have only required one click of the omnipotent next page button. Bout halfway down the page is a thread that says....hmmm, "which tree shall i climb first?" Ya know, I bet that might have some info you were looking for.
So kid, shut your pie hole and look around before posting a question thats been asked a thousand times.

Back when I went through swordsman (still one of my favourite weapon professions), I did 0-0-3-1 for the melee mitigation, then 0-3-3-1, then finished off Defense, finished off Tech, then went up the Offense tree, and finally finished off the Finesse tree.

Congrats so far,
I suggest going 001x swordsman first to get spin attack one. Then go up the sword tech tree until u get 041x. Get yourself a good speed slice 2handed sword and power hammer (3.5-3.8) with some speed power ups.
Goget buff, take two brandy and go to the squill caves on Tat. Find a good spot where the squills constantly spawn.Ifyou are bored there, I may suggest Endor (but after you max sword tech tree). Endor has lots of random spawns.There all you have to do is run up to a lair and do spin attacks and the creatures will spawn. I was killing 64000hp lairs in 30-60 seconds average 50-70k exp just be careful of screechers,merek, andspider lairs because they poison/disease.I had tkm 4000 to cure poison,wounds and disease. I don't suggest Dant because there are hardly any random spawns anymorebecause of the lag is terrible on my server (Eclipse) and its to over populated.
I managed to master the swordsman profession this weekend by doing the above. It took me 9-10 hours of casual playing and 3-4 buffs. Also try to max out your exp before training your the next level (less running around).
