Thread: Giving Swordsman a Bad name

I have been playing SWG since early Sept, and for the most part have not had a problem or anything bad to say about anyone I met ingame, that is until I met someone with the tag Battlemaster. This guy last night was rude, crude and arrogant. Don't take my word for it, read the chat for yourself. He started off calling me a newb, and when he found out that I wasn't a newb, he got all offensive and started acting like a 2 year old. since this took place at about 1am central time, I'm sure it wasn't a kid. Name calling and taunting are to be left on the playground. He demanded that I duel him, however, since my buff had worn off and I didn't have any muon left, and the attitude of this guy, I thought better of it.

I am not going to say all Swordsman are like this moron last night, however, I just want to give a heads up to any Swordsman that may be on Kauri about Donbon. He didn't have a guild tag on, if he did, I would contacting his guild also.
I'm not here to grief, or complain, this guy just really pissed me off, and may need to be put in his place.
I have much respect for melee classes, especailly since I am moving from Master Commando, to Pikeman. and the skills he displayed while taking out a lair that I had as final mission was actually quite impressive. I won't get into how childish it was of him to take out a lair that i obviously was working on at the time.
I know there are others in game like this guy, however that does not mean i have to put up with them.
thanks for reading, I hope after reading the logs, you will understand why it ticked me off.

I just started the Swordsman profession a couple days ago, and I only have 0-4-3-4 right now to help out my TKM and Master brawler 
, so yea, I guess I'm still a newbie when it comes to the swordsman profession.. but I've been around a good while and can hold my own with just about anything. That still gives no right for someone to bash another by calling them a newbie.. It's not like they weren't new to the game at one point and time. I try to give people the most respect when in a duel, even if they get tore to pieces.. and I've never called anyone a newbie, unless I'm just joking around with my friends.

Guys like that, put them on /ignore
Don't give them the power to effect your gameplay or ruin your time. I know it's easy to say, but at the time it makes you mad and they get under your skin, but /ignore and go about your business, try to get back to having fun.

think of timezones. 1am to you is 8am or 9am to me, it could have been a stupid kid on the other side of the world

You know what I love best about those guys? They start mouthing you off, your trying to get rid of them and then they act as if they have gained some by the "Welcome to my ignore" comment....

haha oh wellI gotta tell you a little story, there was a newbie guy (oh hang on, he had "been playing since beta, and this was his 5th character", like us all) and he was mouthing everyone off, so we said we had contacted the authorities. We got a guy in full stormie uniform to come down and start talking to him. He got so scared and all of a sudden burst ran out of the outpost!

That is a great story. That was like the other night inthe Mos Eisley (on my server that is THE RPing destination) and some guy goes in there and is like taunting this one dancer and making fun of RP. Anyway, the bartender says to the crowd ", Someone get that troublemaker out of my bar." Next thing this guy knows, there are like 8 or 9 RPers around him. Felt good watching him go down. I can't stand people who take this high and mighty stance about the game like ", You play differently or slowly so therefore, I am better than you!" (Outside of RP that is.)
