We aren't the damage dealers anymore..

Rifle - TKM get a tie for first place in damage in PvP or PvE

Commando gets second place

Heavy Swordsman comes in a mere third, with fractions of the benifits and defenses of the superior classes.

Absent the corpse/AOE bug, that simply is not true. Granted, I have Master Brawler's KD to help, but I have yet to be out damaged at Fort Tusken. Lunge2 and Hit3 two hit kills most Tusken types. Even without the KD, few things survive longer than 5 whacks with the Hammer there. And going up against Rancors, especially when I get surrounded by them, I drop them quicker than a TK can, I guarantee you. A buffed and armored Swordsman is a terrible sight to behold in PvE.

I am a Rifleman, and in PvP, I will use my rifle as my primary weapon because my playstyle is range and stealth. But when it comes to PvE, I will almost always opt for the Hammer.

Unless I am missing something, at master heavy swordsman I have 15 ranged defense, and 20 melee defense. I am a master ch and have some medic. Those are total numbers... 15 and 20, and being a wookiee I have no chance for armor. The problem I have with this is that all other combat professions have tons and tons of defenses. We get shafted, ok fine, we are the damage producers ok, fine, I can understand that... but WHY THE HELL do dancers and musicians get 7 ranged/7 melee defense in their master box... uh... any reason they get half (rounded down) the defense I do, and I spent a good portion of my skill points on combat, and they are swinging a Nalagron? I just want to know if this is being discussed or questioned at the Correspondent level or not. Thanks for listening to the minirant which had some information for people to chew over.

I honestly have no idea why the Musicians get it, but at least Dancers can use"enhanced agility" as an excuse why.

As much as I can appreciate that in PVE we are the damage dealers, in PVP if you are nothing but a heavy swordsman with a second skill in something you are only marginally better defensed than someone who took all the same amount of skill points + one novice branch (ent healing) and is not combat at all.

I have a serious issue with this, it just seems like we have been shafted, no granted I could appreciate if we got bonuses to melee damage, or two handed damage or something of the sort to compensate for our complete and utter lack of defense. At least it would make sense since we are supposed to be a damage dealing profession and our finesse counterparts (TKA and Fencer) get buttloads of defenses and things of the nature.

Granted it makes sense that we don't get a TON Of defense because counter attack is based on how much we get attacked (unless it only matters if we get hit or not, then they are just making swordsman a suicide profession). I would really appreciate if St.Gabe or someone could let me know if we are required to get hit before we counter attack or if it is just based on the impending attack that might miss or get dodged or something of the nature.

Here's hoping we get a good response, or some sort of balance. I don't want anyone nerfed (notice I don't say anyone should have anything taken away) I just want us (heavy swordsman) balanced just a little bit so we don't become nothing but bloody pulps from getting slapped around so much.

Also (just ignore this part it is a completely seperate gripe) if I wore armor as a swordsman this wouldn't be as huge of an issue... but dammit I wanted to be a fuggin wookiee... bah, I know don't whine you knew they said it, common sense states, blah blah blah... it still isn't "balanced". Favorite SWG buzzword of the year... Balanced...

Thanks for reading, sorry for the extra's can we get some info concerning this?

ok im sure youve hear this one before.....evrey one say it with me now

wait until the combat revamp.

No they dont care either. Yes were not the UBer flavor of the month...Yes defense stacking is getting nerfed to make comboing counter attack from carbines usless.. yes im getting jadded and grumpy about waiting for this mythical revamp. Why do ranged classes have more melee defense than us? I dont know...

I think evrey dev for this game needs to be taken into the front office and seached ... then when they find crack-cocaine and various praphenelia in evreyones pocket they send our money back and say "sorry for making you pay for beta testing our crappy game... we'll put it on the store shelves when were finished".

OOoooooooo dang that had to hurt... i hope they dont kick me out the boards for that one.

Yes you must be hit for counter attack to kick in. Counter Attack, Dodge and Block are a second line of defence after ranged/melee defence.
