Fun, yes

PvE, very good.. i just solo'd my first nightsister elder!!!! w000t!!.. and that's with a pure swordsman template, i don't have defence lines from other mele professions

PvP, Nottoo hot

Dunno how it compares but my friend who was master swordsman/master tka choose swordsman over tka for the damage you can deal out as a swordsman. afaik pikeman = very good defences, hits very slowly but hit for a lot of damage, dunno bout fencer.

actually my bad.. it's fencer's that have the good defences.
