Last night, I traded my +6 2 handed speed tape for an exceptional ph, (i figured i ite as well trade it, cuz hammer's max damage was 800+ and speed of 1.9). i got the weapon, and tried to fix it and gues wut?... IT BROKE!!!!??? 1/1 condition, 1 on damage. I dont kno why i couldnt wait for my fellow guildie, a master WS to come on, but i just coudlnt wait. Now all i hav left is the case of a once wonderful weapon . That was my sad tale...

It's been proven time and time again that WS get no bonus to repair, and on top of that, it's been proven that since publish 7, repairs have been slanted more towards "repaired with condition loss" than anything else, giving you a much higher crit fail rate. Sucks, but there was nothing that could have been done about it.

That's very true....except someone else's luck roll may have been better than his was, but we have no way of knowing who would have a better luck roll.....so you end up in the same boat.....making a guess and hope that your next roll is a good one.

One thing when it comes to repairs.....Itry not torepair anything that's lower than 50% - 55% condition. If I do, then it's because I can live with the fact that I might break it. For a legendary weapon though, I don't think I would let it get that low before repairing it. The higher the condition your weapon is when attempting a repair, the better luck you will have of not destroying it. A moderate repair is typically what I get as long as I repair before 50% condition loss....it usually takes about 50 or 100 condition of the max. I also try to do all my repairs at a remote location away from spam and a lot of players and city congestion and near a crafting station for the type of item I'm repairing.....don't know if that makes a difference though....guess it's just my superstition....

-_- Never repair exceptional weapons.....they like to fall apart. A hard lesson you have just learned.

if your serious about repairing weapons then buy a WS toolkit.. it's a bandolier thathas +5 to weapon repair (amongst other things) and should cost around 200k.Also get some perfect repair tools from the one daypatch.

I've only ever failed a reapir once after repairingmore looted lances thanI can count, 1 vk (repaired about 4 times)3 scythes, 2 two handed curved swords. I'm still scared when I think about repairing my Acklay hammer tho

And yes.. a master WS has the same ammount of skill mods to weapon repair as everyone else.

Harsh story though
